If you've followed this team for any length of time you'd know to keep it handy at all times!

What a fudgeing win, Phoenix, buy AKH a drink, man of the match, sweet sweet revenge.

Hope Hughes is alright after that.

That's it - all over. A sweet revenge for the pain earlier this season.
A most unlikely win, like, ever.

AKH deserves the royal treatment for the next week after that performance!

Good result boys 3 points and well done Kosta on getting the 100 goals today.

Miracle win.

Though the second half was decent. Conchie playing as a real DM. Sutton back to LB. Chief made some good calls and kept them positive.

Kersey and the VAR are cowards. Good for Hughes for standing up to Brattan’s bullshark, even if the refs don’t seem to want to.

What a second half. Could've been straight out of last season. Effort levels faultless, good to see we can defend a lead.

Conchie changed the game, we need to see a lot more of him. Ishige looked much better playing in a free role rather than up top. Hughes was massive after a tough run of games and AKH has earned himself the gloves for a long time. Retre and Nagasawa starting to build a nice partnership but they dont create enough.

A third week in a row we've taken a notable step forward despite the squad limitations.

Kurto must still have a soft spot for us.

Andy Harper is such a shark cod.

I won't entertain any criticism of any of our players for tonight's performance.

It was a simply massive shift by all of them, very proud indeed of the way they stood up and went about it.

Bloody marvelous.

AKH awarded player of the match, rightfully so.

Think this could do wonders for the Chch turnout this weekend. Few footie fans at work uhming and ahing where the poor form was trumping the pro footy is such a rarity down these ways argument.

Kelly-Heald an absolute ripper today!

I make us 4 points behind Sydney and MacArthur. Is the game in hand right or just not updated yet?

Very pleased with that - a bit of luck but also some great keeping and more urgency in the second half. Well done lads!

Pathetic. Not apathetic.

Would have thought grabbing a players shirt front with both hands should defiantly be a card. Brattan proving what a dick he is.

I watched AKH in a National league game against Napier a couple of months ago and he was sensational. The game ended up Nil all but for the last 15 minutes he was holding Napier out on his own.

Let’s win the derby and go all the way in the finals series and look back at this angst from a proper perspective!

Come on Phoenix!

On top of the two professional fouls worth of late challenges that somehow weren’t cards.

Can’t believe that Nagasawa let him come over and play the innocent party, good keen bloke…

Conchie to start on Saturday, we looked so much better when he came on.

Also, probably Nagasawa's best game in a Phoenix jersey so far.
We won by the strength of a very even second half, and by a single half-smile of the lady luck at the right time (as usual involving Kosta).
But the Ishige to Nagasawa flick would be a classic for ages even if we did not score any more tonight.  The perfect penalty by Kosta against a very good keeper was the icing on the cake.

We're all elated about somehow winning this game but let's not paper over the cracks.
