Reserve team players Noah Karunaratne and Joshua Tollervey, both 19, are a chance of travelling to Sydney on Saturday afternoon in place of veteran forward Kosta Barbarouses, who has been ruled out of this weekend’s match with injury.

Karunaratne is an attacking midfielder and featured in the Phoenix’s Australia Cup campaign last year.

Tollervey has yet to travel with the senior squad. The striker finished the National League Championship with two goals and an assist in the reserves’ final three games in November.

Jeez we are light on it, injuries have really decimated this season.

Personally, I'd like to see Kraev coming from the bench and running at tired legs for this one. Give Sasse and Old the bulk of minutes - they should both be pretty fresh and Macarthur will be demoralised, coming off that huge loss last week

Over reation much?, we have three injured and brought in two youth team players. Seriously its what a squad is meant to be able to do, thats partly why the academy was created for so we could bring in young players to back up when the senior squad was hit by injury - it happens every year to every team when two or three of the pros get injured.

what injury does Kosta have?

Looking forward to this. Hopefully, we can get back to winning ways. 

This Team is so shaky, I lost all my positivity. A few weeks back I was dreaming for 2nd place, now I’m happy if we stay 6th on the ladder.

big game for us today, win we go 5th, lose and we lose ground on the top 4 but will remain 6th.

Need Sasse to show up, got a big chance to nail down a starting role with Kosta out.

I have a feeling they are going to be a real handful for us. Uli, Arzani, Noone, even Millar are the kind of speedy, direct players our backline struggles to contain. Pretty warm conditions there too.

Hope I'm wrong but I'm steeling myself for a tough day at the office.

It could be that Payne will be a CB with Laws, and Eliot at RB, Boxall might get time on the field if Uffie reckons it is safe to play him or another injury befalls us.

Missing that depth we had eh? None of the academy boys on the bench? Hmm

Well the coverage switches over after the women's game at this game is already 2mins 30 in, thankfully we don't miss the opening goal from Kraev!!

Nice touch by Zawada to flick it on to Kraev to bury that.

Getting sick of Maraugis' weakness as a defensive LB. Gets beaten a lot. Don't think he offers much more than Sutton going forward either. Want to see Sutton get a start instead.
