The boys are back at Leichhardt Oval to take on City. This is the first of 3 games in a week, so vital to pick up points.

Melbourne dropping points tonight against Perth makes this game even bigger if we can win this the gap between us will only be 8 points with 4 games in hand.

Is the game likely to go ahead despite all the flooding over there?

Either that or Ball to drop deeper and Waine/van Hattum to start as striker I’d say

Talay said before the postponed WSW game that Old was likely then to fill Reno’s spot. Presumably that still stands. He likes the way Ball & Sotiro are going together up top

Weather forecast for Leichhardt Oval still seems to be nearly constant thunderstorms the next few days. Can't see this one going ahead. Although Google weather has led me wrong before.

All those games in hand and on equal points to Sydney City.

I see this has been delayed due to weather. Do we have a possible start time?

Can't see the weather easing up. But on the bright side, we are gonna have a lot of games in hand which allows our destiny to be in our own hands come the crunch.

Bring the boys home to NZ and play the games over here. Beautiful weather about the place currently.

Also, when/if it does clear up, heavy underfoot conditions should suit us just fine.

FFS, jinxed it. Games been called off.

Weekend ruined.

So many games called off really works against us I feel. We don't have the depth of other teams to cram in games.

This is really frustrating, the squad was starting to get on a roll and now we haven't played for two weeks. Gonna end up playing midweek for the last month of the season at this rate.

Fudges sake.  Play 5 games in 13 days, then no games for almost a month!

unless the extend the league's last match, we could play what, 9 or 10 games in April?!

As things stand they have games...

Week beginning March 7: Wed 9, Sat 12
Mar 14: Fri 18 (missing likely 4/5 players on AWs duty)
Mar 21: Sat 26 (missing 1 player on AWs duty, but would be missing 5/6 if they played midweek)
Mar 28: Fri Apr 1 (missing 1 player on AWs duty)
Apr 4: Wed 6, Sat 9
Apr 11: Sat 16
Apr 18: Sun 24
Apr 25: Fri 29

They have four fixtures to be rescheduled and six weeks with the middle of the week free

Likely to be 11 games in 36/37 days to end the season, with the Fri 29 one pushed back to Sat 30/Sun May 1.

They have been pretty adamant about not extending the season in the past, so we might end with that kinda schedule.

bonkers. if we make the finals, we could be well exhausted to complete.

Equal points with Sydney City and 5 games in hand on them. Never thought I'd ever see that happening.

Given a likely decision today to allow Aussies to come in from 12 April 2022 without any isolation requirements what about 3 or 4 games at home at the Cake Tin?

They are hopeful that maybe a couple games could be played but it requires us dropping down from the Red Light setting.

Would still need an exemption for foreigners (not saying that's impossible)
