No Zawada.
Looks like he's now done for the season.........

Jason Pine
Giancarlo Italiano confirms Phoenix striker Oskar Zawada has suffered another set-back in his recovery and may not feature again this season. Italiano is hopeful he may possibly be fit though for semi-finals if things go well.

What a blow. For us and for him. He seemed to really be going places.
I wonder if we mismanaged his injuries a bit. He seemed to continuously yo-yo between the physio table and the match day squads this year.

Sounds like pretty much every season he has had at other clubs.

Interesting to hear in the presser that Chiefy hasn't spoken to Oskar (Zawada) in a week.

Also interesting was his comments about keeping BK. He said similar things to when he was last asked, but last time he didn't even sound at all fussed about whether he could get BK to stay. This time while he sounded about as confident as he did the last time about the chances of retaining him (which was not at all), he actually gave the impression that he'd like to keep him. But his comments also forecast a lot of belt tightening, and not just for the Nix.

He definitely wants to keep BK. BK is one of the best attacking midfielders in the league and Chiefy wants to win. I think, the last I heard, Chiefy thought that BK would be out of the Nix's reach because of the quality of offer that he's likely to get from Europe.

Good weather on Sunday and we will get a nice Easter crowd of 8-9000.
Our Waitangi game MD-1 pax was about 3000/4000 and it got all the way up to 10000 on match day

Seth promoted, interesting. From what I know he's quite a big guy, originally a midfielder (more offensive, if my memory serves) but has been pushed back into a ball-playing CB over the years. Noah Karunaratne's brother - both came over from Australia at the same time

Will be cover for Hughes, ofc

The streaming service is paramount+. It’s cheap enough at $90 for an annual subscription (which I think is the only way to buy) but it’s not the most user friendly app. It usually takes overnight for the replay to be posted if you miss the game and are wondering where coverage is

Paramount Plus. I'll hold onto it until we win the toilet seat then cancel my subscription.

You can go month by month for $10, but have a look, there seems to be a 7 days free offer on at the moment, so it you are only in Oz temporarily you might be able to get a freebie.

Replays are usually up between two and three hours after each game. Which is still way too slow.

Being a Sunday afternoon suits me. A bit of a travel and all these Friday and Sunday night games meant no travel to Wellington until this game! First live phoenix game in Wellington since I left Wellington nearly 15 years ago. (Except that one match they played at McLean park that one time…)

Got the whanau with me too! Looking forward to it.

Hoping Baze was right and Surman will be able to play. Given he, Paulsen and Old didn't play many minutes and they're so young I'd be fine with them slotting back into the starting XI.

Less keen to see Kosta & Rufer start, particularly Kosta, it's a big ask for a 34 year old to fly that far after playing 90 midweek mins and then play in the weekend. Don't want to risk injuries at this critical part of the season. Rufer & Kosta in particular are players we cannot replace.

Is van Hattum fit? If so I'd like to see a lineup of:

Paulsen
Salas Wootton Surman Sutton
Pennington al-Taay Old
OVH Ball Kraev
