Second time this season the commentators have tried to credit a crucial intervention by AKH to the crossbar. Piney first then today's idiot

How are we two down when we started with 6 defenders in our XI?
Whyt he fudge is our best RB playing RM> And why are we staring a RB at DM?

Not a good start to our 8 cup finals.

Playing defensively clearly isn't working, we should try something else now, nothing to lose

Guessing on our record playing finals, this looks like one if 8 remaining finals.

Rufer up to his old tricks skying a shot from outside the box into row Z

I kinda like what we are doing when we have the ball and it's not in our half. Unfortunately everytime we get the ball, we go back to our half...
I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Its weird right? We actually look half decent when we go foward with some intent, we just for whatever reason don't.

Don’t worry guys, we only need a few more games to adjust and settle into the style of play we want 😍😍😍

Piper can do so much well, but then screws up a straightforward pass

It's almost like that's part of the plan.

Chiefy in rounds one and two: "It'll take me 4-6 weeks to have them gel."

Chiefy after losing players to injuries: "Can't play the style I want."

Chiefy with full squad: "I believe we can win all our remaining games."

I can't take the BS anymore...

I am now firmly in the Chief out camp and want to see Rufer pull a Nelson and take over the team.

Where are the positives - where?

My worst fear now is somehow we win four or five games and Chief gets an extension to his contract.

DOME - fire Chief and spend the rest of the season looking for a replacement.

Now that it’s half time, maybe if we’re lucky, the Little Corner of Yellow will take it upon themselves to chase Chiefy out of the stadium.

The end of the half wasn't that bad, but it isn't threatening to erase a 2 goal deficit

Definitely had one in Feb as we got a goal against Auckland, so 2 weeks ago...feels so much longer

Sheridan has made 1 progressive pass in 45 minutes, even Rufer seems off at the moment. Geraldes, 1 nice moment but nothing else.

We continue to pass back because nothing is happening in front of players until eventually we run out of options and then try to chip over the press, only to lose the ball and have to defend again.

We are so poor and this is arguably our strongest team (in Chiefs eyes atleast) and we are so poor its embarrasing.

Pretty bleak. Some really poor passing, and cheap giveaways. And often the veterans Rufer, Barba, Chico at fault. Poor game from Chico until the last 10 mins.

Absolutely zero success playing out down the right flank. Payne & Piper not combining at all.

Sometimes I think Chiefy's biggest selection blunder for the season was not getting in a big man striker of any ability (visa or non visa) to replace Zawada. Every time the Nix are forced to go route one, 100% WU win the ball. They don't have the quality of players they had last year to play out successfully, and when a team like WU has a good hard press, it's bad to watch. Surely even an Oscar Faulds would be handy forward outlet, to break it up when you have no sucess playing through the press.

Nix coming into the game a bit more, and hopefully WU's press fades a bit in the heat. What does Chiefy do at HT. Nagasawa or Ishige on. Like to see LBS get some good mins.

Yeah the lack of height up front is a bit of a mess. We would surely have at least scored a few headed goals if we had replaced Zawada with someone with some height.

I do recall chiefy saying that he wasn't worried about the lack of hight up front though so that one's on him

Why is Payne playing RM? Why is Sheridan CM? Why are Piper and Sheridan starting when we have better options on the bench? It just makes no sense

chief-ball. you just don't get it. give the players another two seasons to understand the system and then you'll see
I can see he wants width and pace, but Payne has been poor and probably better joining the attack from FB than starting there.

Cant be bothered about the game TBH. You know the A league is in trouble when a side like WU who are fighting for a podium finish cant even fill a small suburban ground in  a city of 5 million. There seem to be more Nix supporters in the fan zone. Meanwhile Preston vs South Melbourne played in front of nearly 10,000 this week. I guess the Australian football community are sending a message about the current franchise model.

I really do wonder if Chiefy has started to lose the dressing room at this rate.

Talking a big game all week - trained really well all week, the lads are up for it, players coming back & '8 finals to turn the season around' blah, blah, blah. And then what, we go out there and manage to turn out a massive steaming hot turd of that magnitude? What the f u c k is actually going on?!!?

Called it before H/T of the derby. This horseshark simply cannot go on until the end of the season, it just can't. Something needs to give, and it needs to give pretty bloody quickly.

Dire.

End of the game chiefy will tell us about how how unlucky we were to concede goals since we dominated large parts of the game and how we should have nicked the win despite having no shots on target. It seems he is never watching the same game the rest of us are.

Based on the way chief thinks the games are playing out, I'd say he probably still thinks he is too good for extension. He can jog on and play his dire football somewhere else.
