If we don’t get a shot on goal this game he has to go

If we do he gets a week’s reprieve

Surely that is more then fair to him and he should take those odds
 You spoke too soon!

If we can keep this scoreline we won't have lost as badly to Western as Auckland did - that's something to hold on to...right?!?🤣

I wonder how chico is going rediscovering his love of the game
I hear he's thinking of packing it all in and taking up tennis.

At least even if he's shark at that, they'll yell out 15, 30 or 40 love every time a point is won.

Looking at the positives, if the Nix roll over and play like this for the rest of the season there is a real chance they will help one side catch AFC and prevent them winning the first trophy for a NZ side!!

Auckland will rise once more

If Chief isn't gone by the end of the weekend, ever fired or through his own resignation I will lost my mind.

If this was any league in the world where relegation was a possibility, he would be gone by now... so why is he still here?!

Well, that goal has probably saved Chiefy for another week, see you all next weekend where we get smashed once again, this time by Talay and Sydney.

I'm waiting for the coaches interviews tonight, excepting some Trumpesgue weaving tonight from Chiefy.

If the club has any pride and ambition the coach has to be let go now. And really that should have happened 2 weeks ago after the derby defeat.

1 shot on goal... I have no words for that.

As a coach Talay is worse than Chiefy. With the squad Talay has, he should be up there with Auckland.

On the bright side the more we lose by big scorelines the less of a chance Chief comes back next season

That goal got scored because the ball slipped under a foot of a defender and some poor goal keeping not because of some genius tactical play.
This was our first shot in goal in like 167 minutes of play.

Do the fever have it in them to chant for a coach to go at the next home game?

Edit: or even produce signs to that effect

I wonder if WUN are happy they didn't sack Aloisi last season when they finished 2nd last.

I think the fans owe it to the club to chant for Chiefy to be out. I know a few stallwarts on here were sharkty with the sign last week, but playing the way we are, setting up the way we are etc is not good for the club in any shape or form.

Can anyone in all honesty have faith in Chief to save the season, or even get us some respectability?

Sure Chiefy will need to wear some of that, but there were some all time shark performances out there and it's not just play your most experienced because it was Rufer's, Wootton's, Payne's worst games in some time.

What sort of crowds does the team get at 15 bucks a patron?

Well at this rate, any goal, regardless of the circumstances and our overall performance, is likely to be enough to somehow safe Chiefy for another week.

Wondering if the Japanese lads are at some sort of contract threshold where if they start more games we owe someone a payment?

Did they lose all their derby games? Did they get hammered 6:1 in a derby? Did they finish games with 1 or no shots on target? On top of losing games, did they do so in the most boring, depressing, pass it backwards fashion?

Honestly I don't know so I'm asking but this Nix team plays the worst dross I've seen possibly ever in our history (Been a fan since 09/10) And it's hard to see anything improve.

yes it absolutely would have. Would be less humiliating to see Auckland win silverware in their first attempt if we'd actually won something before

Chiefy isn't the man for this club. The tactics and recruitment are all wrong and that's on him.

He got lucky last year with a bunch of youngsters hitting their a league peaks. What's his plan??

All those calling for Chiefy to be sacked now. Who do you want to be the coach? Who is the current assistant coach? Dome will never sack Chiefy before the end of the season.....never ever!

I really do wonder if Chiefy has started to lose the dressing room at this rate.

Talking a big game all week - trained really well all week, the lads are up for it, players coming back & '8 finals to turn the season around' blah, blah, blah. And then what, we go out there and manage to turn out a massive steaming hot turd of that magnitude? What the f u c k is actually going on?!!?

Called it before H/T of the derby. This horseshark simply cannot go on until the end of the season, it just can't. Something needs to give, and it needs to give pretty bloody quickly.

Dire.

Italiano started to lose the dressing room back in October.

I don't necessarily need to see him sacked but I want for his contract to not be extended. Wouldn't be upset if he was demoted to the assistant of his replacement.

How many casual fans do we think we have lost to AFC... all this added media attention to the league and football and the NIX go and turn off every neutral fan to football in the country.

Quite a few I imagine.
I only continued watching out of loyalty, but have preferred watching Auckland all season.
And having lived in Auckland, but never in Wellington, I don’t feel the least bit bad about that.
Play nice football, I might watch Phoenix again, but I haven’t even bothered with highlights last few weeks. I just know there won’t be any.

Had heard this from about the turn of the year, but had just been sitting on it.

It's become a bit harder to turn a blind eye to it lately though. Elephant in the room stuff if you will...
