That's the best half of football I can remember us playing against the Victory in AAMI park in a very long time. Controlling the game, but creating good chances too. Unlucky not to go into the break with a goal. I like what I'm seeing from Chris Greenacre's Wellington Phoenix. It does make you wonder where we would be if he had come in earlier.

Nice but Piper needs to putting some of those chances away. Good half just need to turn that domination into goals.

Piper misses ALL his chances when he has to kick the ball with a foot, he only can score with his head.
Both Piper and Eze are all energy, can't wait to see them replaced be by someone with more finesse.

Many of our chances are due to the hard work they do running channels and putting pressure on the opposition. Given that, if they had finesse you want as well they would be far too good for this league.

Think everyone has impressed apart from both those dam full backs who are seriously holding us up.
Both of them will 9.9 times out of 10, simply pass the ball backwards.
Tuiloma, Hughes and the midfield are looking at moving the ball quickly and importantly forward.
But those two are just stopping all momentum!,

Wouldn't mind Sheridan or Edwards trying an early cross or two just to draw out the opposition a bit, even Tuiloma when driving into midfield having one ping. MV are ok mostly with us trying to play around their block, something a little different to think about might create a bit more space in the middle of the park.

Agreed - haven't really tried the early cross yet from either FB's when it's probably been on.

And welcome to Melbourne. The BS calls for the Victory just stepping up a bit. It’s been the most effective way to stop us. Two or three on Najjarine and that one on a great tackle from Tuiloma. We had the first half where ref BS was 1-2 on the scale…moving towards 2-3 now. (Scale to be released or not at future date)

Like the way we are playing but we need a win not a draw. Why the FK arnt Carlo and LBS pkaying. Can see when he leaves LBS lighting it up for someone. Yet guys like Shetidan and Conchie get given shot after shot just dont get it. Yes get they are different positions
