Really need to win this after not getting a win in the last two games. The top 5 excluding us are playing each other so points will be dropped.

Plus Perth are hopeless outside WA. It'd be pretty disappointing not to win.

Yeah and also correct me if I'm wrong but I think they should have 3 players suspended 2/3 are cb's and their import CB Lachman went off injured last game so could be without him too. So there's no excuse for us not to win this.

As an unfortunate sod who lives in perth and gets to see the nix maybe once a year I'm particularly unimpressed by the choice to host this game in Sydney.
Can't help but wonder what they're thinking with this round and hard to imagine many Sydney locals turning out.

Nix will be there end of Feb. So you won't miss out. Perth being one of the teams the Nix play three times this season.

This is a bonus game, without the Unite Round it would have never been played.

OK. Did they do that for the men. Put on an extra round?  But not for the women. (suppose the women play each team equally home and away. so they couldn't)

ALW started 14th October & the Unite Round was announced 18th October, so can't really add a round after the competition started (ALM started 20th October)

I don’t care how small this crowd is today. I’m going to cheer on the Phoenix and be the loudest in the ground.
I’m sure it will be a weird vibe but who cares it’s still a big game.

Love this insight from him.

"I take responsibility for that because I should have realised during the game that we had just scored and the team was still trying to get back into the game. Even if I got that pass correctly they still could have gone on and got a good goal scoring opportunity."

Nailing the 'why' like this, whether it's from his own rumination or a lesson from Chiefy, is a great sign

Apart from Taggart, nothing particularly scary in that starting XI for Perth either.

Hope we take it to them - I'm looking for that statement performance that's going to put us top of the table.

Wonder when Sloane-Rodrigues will be announced as the next scholarship player? 🤔

Nice thought but really cant see people delaying leaving for along weekend they have planned for. Its not as if the fixture is at late notice,
