Sheridan ....

Sheridan struggling for a bit of touch and sharpness at RWB. Like he hasn’t played there much…

Ok at least we have played some football in the last 5

Small crowd.
And if they keep going backwards, there will be one less next week.

he has a phenominally terrible pass success rate, especially when you consider where he's playing. option taking and technique are lacking.

outstanding in defence though, has genuine ability there

Rufer looks jet lagged AF. Don't think he'll last the whole 90

my good lord. isaac hughes, another who is great with defensive technique. should not be running with the ball when he's trying to pass. especially if he's going to throw himself off balance and out of technique with his disco arms.

has been his big issue since forever. is no one working on this with him?

F this ref.

Goes to give Jurman a hug, not a card. Cynical and only different because we’re on attack and likely to create a chance.

Disagree. Hughes is normally pretty good carrying the ball forward. That was not his best work admittedly... but he has done it well previously.

i should have probably posted that on a coaches forum

as usual, ref is not punishing keepers who change sides before taking goal kicks, and then wait for everyone to be in position before taking the kick.
You can't so that

Another counter cynically broken down. Another special chat for no cards.

genuine question.... whats our plan?
macarthur are doing a great job of stopping us from doing much, but what are we trying to do?
not being rude btw

Sheridan is having an absolute shocker going forwards. Has he completely regressed after playing CB/CM so long?

Stay in the game.

When Eze gets near the ball I feel happy.

Stay in the game.
it seems to be.

then win the ball. retain it with short passes, then long to eze? or wide to armiento (not sheridan). we're lucky eze's work rate is phenominally high. jeez he's so good

Coming off a 2 week break and off a home derby loss to a first half with no shots on target against an equally average team? Not great

I hate this waiting until play finishes before putting the offside flag up when it's obviously offside to begin with

God help us if we are resorting to long shots from Rufer and Roa Conchie. Najjarine is soooo ponderous in his attacking play.

So we’re all just counting down to Piper town?

I used to enjoy watching football.

That crap - not so much.
This is supposed to be an entertainment, right.

The Phoenix are dire. Ref isn't much better.

yeah, the bounce pass he got frtom nagasawa opened play up brilliantly, but we always seek to connect. he had a chance to run at the back 4 there.

come on lads, you can do it, time to hit the on switch. you're at home. be brave.

Nothing to get excited about in that half. We scrambled well on D, but I want more than that.

On attack, we haven't see enough overloads on the flank to create crossing opportunities, or enough penetration through the middle to create something in and around the box.

Sheridan offer nothing on attack. Rufer, not hitting his passes. Armiento, looking to tuck inside too much. Naj, better end, but what is his role in the team?

D got better thankfully.

Not our best half.

Rufer not at his best. Roa Concie having to be dropped deeper to allow Nagasawa to move further forward so we can better maintain possession in attack. Sheridan not offering much at WB.

Mac are looking at playing behind our WBs and doing it fairly well, especially on their left. They are also doing well pressing us into wide positions.

I worry Chief is sacrificing our bombastic approach to not get caught with the high line after being criticised.

Still a card on Uzkok and Jurman and a couple of fouls for Eze would have helped!

You have to ask yourself- who’s gunna lift the tempo, who’s guna make a run? James decided to! Good on him and then there’s no movement in front of him.

That moment when Nagasawa was looking for a run to hit and 5-6 statues were all around the box sums it up.

Maybe they need the Red Bull and Southern Comfort? Almost sure that’s what Piper does!

Can with get Tuiloma on at halftime if we sign him? Play him in a front 3 with Eze and Piper.

Great stop from Oluwayemi

He was able to go against his instinct to retreat there and was rewarded for coming out

Will probably jinx evergthing by making this post but one positive at least, is Oluweyemi has been decent as today. I respect that hes been able to make decisions early and commit all the way no hesitation. If he can keep that up throughout the season would show massive improvement on the mental side of his game.

And Eze sprinting back there too, trying to cover.

Come on Phoenix!
