yeah but the ref on the field said no pen, not clear and obvious error with that decision so why over rule it? Contact or not, the no pen call wasnt an error.

Here comes the total capitulation of our boys on the field and om the sideline. And also another baseless apology form the League about the ref standards.

 Just rewound it. Definite foul (surprise, the ref missed it) but contact was outside the box, so no VAR. 

Diabolical defending by Payne regardless of views about decision. Misjudged ball to let player behind him then stretched out & contacted player in the box.

Both the mens and womens teams have been getting awful results recently but the differences in their on-field attitudes/approaches are pretty stark.

I believe they look at it in different angles etc to make sure it's clear & obvious. Clear & obvious doesn't mean it only takes one look to see the error, the amount of time they take looking at it is irrelevant. They might take some time to check defender definitely didn't touch the ball for example, it may only become clear after checking all angles and in slow motion.

As bad as our defending is I think we can fix it, what is most concerning is our utter lack of attacking creativity. The two up front have absolutely no quality service.

 the time they took stuffing around looking at it from all angles is a pretty good indication it wasn't clear and obvious and that were hellbent on finding a foul.
