We get Daniel Elder for this match, thankfully avoiding Faghani who gets CCMvSYD.
We have had Elder 3 times this season, 1-1 vs Victory, 0-0 @ Perth and 1-0 vs Victory.
Totally happy with Daniel Elder, Phoenix 'victory' specialist ref. Faghani would relish the occasion and try to impose his massive ego on the proceedings.

Despite efforts to free up more seats to the regional stadium, Wellington Phoenix tickets are selling so fast they’ll soon be all gone.
Wellington Phoenix Football Club general manager David Dome said about 2pm on Wednesday that they had fewer than 2500 tickets remaining to the A-League semifinal against Melbourne Victory on Saturday.
He posted on X.com, formerly Twitter, that they were selling around 500 tickets an hour, so at this rate they could all be gone by Thursday.
“We're adding in more seats as quickly as we can as they are freed up. About 1k additional was added in this morning but they are gone already. Fewer than 2,5k available now.”
Dome said they were trying to “claw back” a few more seats but there were only around 1000 more that could be freed up

It’s pretty much sold out folks, just a smattering of single seats. Away bays are less than half sold. Melbourne will be notable by their absence. Hope the hospo tickets sell out now - apparently the club gets revenue from them (source - domestar himself on Twitter). Would have considered buying there if I knew (do now for the final, should it come to that).

I don't really get people from NZ and AUS who only watch the prem. like most the games are between 3am-6am, passed the point of "oh yeah I'll stay up late for that", with only the occasional game being reasonable for us.
Like I get that qualitywise they're in a different league but we aren't exactly attrocious to watch. Just doesn't make sense to me.
Yep I agree, im a man utd fan but tbh I haven’t watched them in years, not missing much! But bugger staying up that late or getting up that early. And it’s all we have right so f’n embrace it and have fun! And we’re playing a decent level so even better. upthenixforever

That is absolutely epic. BUT ...
It's not enough to have lots of people there. We need a large, noisy, parochial crowd. We need people cheering the nix so loudly that their ears hurt. We need people letting the ref know when a 50/50 goes against us. We need the players to feel the energy and use it to get that extra 1% of performance.
The Melbourne crowd numbers were disappointing, but it's worth remembering that they have a much larger proportion that are active support than us, and they made themselves heard. We had a few hundred away fans and by goodness we shouted ourselves hoarse (my voice is still a bit squeaky), and their few hundred will do the same. We need our 30k to drown them out, and to give the team that lift that will get them over the line
