50 tickets left that aren't away or lounge tickets.
That is absolutely epic. BUT ...

It's not enough to have lots of people there. We need a large, noisy, parochial crowd. We need people cheering the nix so loudly that their ears hurt. We need people letting the ref know when a 50/50 goes against us. We need the players to feel the energy and use it to get that extra 1% of performance.

The Melbourne crowd numbers were disappointing, but it's worth remembering that they have a much larger proportion that are active support than us, and they made themselves heard. We had a few hundred away fans and by goodness we shouted ourselves hoarse (my voice is still a bit squeaky), and their few hundred will do the same. We need our 30k to drown them out, and to give the team that lift that will get them over the line

I'm hearing the Violinist is coming over to play?? WTF? We are meant to be having a "Home" semi final, not making it comfortable for the Victory. Shoot yourselves in the foot why don't you. If you want an atmosphere this Saturday, tell the DJ to take the day off and let the crowd make the noise, not the DJ and certainly not a Melbourne violinist. We're here to win this thing. Not a time to play nice.

Every time you hear something infuriating and you want to share it, it's best provide a source so we can judge whether it's actually going to happen, a rumour, or trolling

Thanks, but can you make your own screenshot, or cut-and-paste the text? Seems to be a locked group or something. And I've heard this nowhere else

Is this not an epic fail?
Local fans wanting to sit in their allocated seats in the away zone, so the 20-50 travelling victory fans have to be scattered around them?? Remember what happened last time we let Nix fans sit in with victory fans...

My brother in law (who I asked if he wanted tickets the day they came out and didn't get back to me for a week) just bought a family pass and they sold him one in the away bay!

We haven’t “let” nix fans sit in the away bay have we?

There have been some sudden block bookings (eg 200 at a time), which I thought may have been organised travel via supporters groups. Good on them if they’ve packed it out.

I haven’t seen any purchase restrictions (eg when we [Charlton] went to Millwall only CAFC members or people with 5 home game purchases in the system for that season were allowed to buy away tickets, and purchase was administered by Charlton) and don’t think it’s warranted in the A-league. I’d expect a reasonable security presence and anyone wearing nix merch or supporting us to be booted from the ground if they are in the away bay.

Yeah we have let it happen because there are not restrictions.

There were 50 seats max sold in the section yesterday. Then when it was the only section available last night it filled up.
I can guarantee it’s not sudden blocks of victory fans.

Having travelled to plenty of nix away games half the fun is being surrounded by your own fans and creating a good atmosphere.

Yes there is not often trouble in the a leagues but it’s still something you can help avoid. Thought we might’ve learnt from when victory played here during the season.

Gonna be a very useful exercise for Nix management & stadium security, looking towards next season's AFC home derby game(s). They are going to be big crowd affairs as well. If the Nix home derby is on Waitangi Day as mooted, it might even get close to a sellout (depending alot on how the Nix are performing). I'm sure a number of AFC supporters will just be happily dispersed amongst Nix fans, but their active support (P.o.r.t) will want an allocated Away bay.

I've read a bit of anti Nix sentiment on their FB page. Don't rule out some, rare for NZ, ugly scenes if there isn't well organised security around the Away bay. That's the last thing you'd want to see, potentially overshadowing all the enormous positive vibes that are going to be around these huge first time derby matches.

you'd hope that the "away" area has an increased security presence, just to keep make the trouble makers think twice before doing anything dumb. But then as long as the away fans also behave then we should have no issues.

There were some vile characters at the Nix matches in Akl. They weren't there to support the Phoenix, in fact they were shouting anti wellington stuff. I remember Eden Park in particular, one person in a premier league team shirt being offensive and throwing things at the yellow fever. So I fully expect all that at the first few derby matches.

Been a season ticket holder for over a decade. Sat through every punishing minute of the Kalezic season, and I've managed to be on the other side of the world for the single most important home game in the history of our club. Serious FOMO right now, but couldn't be prouder of the club and the rest of the city getting behind the team. Fire up FARKEN!

Yea that's our only way of having a grand final at the stadium.  So come ooooon Sydney.

As much as watching a CCM Nix final would be awesome as I have always liked them, I want a grand final at home more.

That is one of my favourite goals of all time. Bertos took a longer starting run up than Richard Hadlee and smashed it! Amped!

Pathetic. Not apathetic.
