Okay, help me out here with this or a better idea :

a thousand and one reasons I’m fired up for tomorrow

1. NUFC is being positive and nostalgic!
2. This season I saw Tim Payne cut back onto his left foot, and absolutely crush the goal into the net. It felt like his powerful headed goal in the last round kind of bookended a story of the season. Payne==> Real Madrid rumours here first. 
3. There will be some people there tomorrow who will experience the Nix for the first time and be Phoenix till I die, with me, you and Paddy f- Gower! Get onboard!

I’m just buzzing. Obviously my footballs teams haven’t given me much to get excited about over the years!

I thought the through ball looked promising last week. Picking Kosta to run on to one, shimmy past the keeper, and bury it in the back of the net.

The weather can't be any better tmr, just need a perfect result.

That brings up a good point.  More than once Sky Stadium pitch has been voted the best in the A League.  In surveys of all players where you cannot vote for your home ground. The ground staff at the Stadium (exactly the same crew who do the Basin Reserve and the cricket commitments there) do a wonderful job.  Tomorrow night you will be barely able to see any evidence of a rugby game 24 hours earlier. Sometimes you can barely see any markings that are not there for football.

We all moan when things are not as they should but do not appreciate the hard work that goes in when the pitch and facilities are presented the way they are.

Hats off to the crew and I hope they get to enjoy a cold one after tomorrow night whatever the result.  I dare say it will be well past midnight when they leave this evening and back at first light in the morning.

You could try hitting up Domie on Twitter... He may know of some free seats 'off the books' if you will. Im sure they won't be cheap though as it'll be only box seats remaining - maybe they'd also sell you a wheel chair access bay if no one else was gonna use it?

Alternatively, you could try getting a job at Fritz's weiners which I've heard so much about on this forum 🤣

In regards to the scalper, there is no reason you shouldn't buy it - provided they're legit. Trademe is pretty good though - check the sellers ratings. Ultimately you're only paying about double the cost so its not a massively scalped ticket provided you've got the money to spend :)

But twice I've stood near the ticket booths outside a sold out Brisbane Suncorp, and purchased tickets at face value off folks, who had one of their group fail to make the game. 

No luck with that as kick off approaches you scarper to the nearest Rub-a-dub-dub.

Working in ChCh I had a workmate (Kiwi) who had a great yarn, about rocking up to 1995 World Cup Final at Ellis Park, Jo'burg without a ticket. She'd been backpacking around Africa. Someone who knew someone who knew someone, got her a white lab coat looking outfit. She found herself pitchside the whole game as a match official! Up close to Lomu, Mandela & co. Unbelievable. A story that if it happened today (unlikely yes) would go viral

If it's worth any consideration. Over the summer I was in a similar predicament regarding the cricket and had a hunt on trademe. I'm not the most tech savvy dude and was quite nervy about it. Both instances were legitimate and had no dramas getting into the grounds. Just check the sellers ratings and reviews.

Got a 50th tonight - told him I would only go if the game is on the big screen at the pub he's booked in... apparently I am about the 5th or 6th person to say the same thing.

It's taking over NZ, not just Wellington.

In the other nix knock out games over the years I never really had the feeling we would win, which soften the blow when it ended up coming to pass. But after the season we have had I don't know if I have the strength not to cry like a child if we lose this game. COYN Nix!

I am surprised they haven't got two merch stalls if i'm honest. They want to make it as easy as possible for the casuals to purchase merch. I remember that was the good thing about the WWC, the one on the concourse and then the shop inside the stadium, as well as the multiple little outlets. This is where the club will claw some $ back.

Do we make any revenue off the food and drink sales? If so, I doubt they’ll run at a loss

Well, I moved to the other side of the world in June and thought that was a good time to swear off the Phoenix fixation to save my sanity. Went cold turkey on media reports but they increasingly found their way to me as the team did better and better. It's my first log-in since I left. Seems truly ironic to me that, after 17 years of avidly following the team with limited returns, things dramatically improve once I leave. But if that's what it took to turn things around, I'm happy to oblige (PS I don't really believe this). Anyway, best of luck everyone. I so wish I could be at the game. Of course I'm on a farking plane at the time but I'll get WiFi for text updates.

By the way, living in the UK time zone, still the only team I watch is the Wellington Phoenix lol.
