No thanks some of us are suckers for punishment and only too happy to support both teams

This is the charity game as well.  So hoping like hell for a miracle and we win so the shirt sales take off.

It's a nice looking kit IMO.

Is Rojas fit - has Chiefy learnt a new tactic?

Probably fitter than AKH, but you never know!

What about as an "Away" top? better than wearing "black" in 35 degree temperatures.

I'd love it as an away kit, but with CCM I doubt we'd get away with an away kit with so much yellow
12 months ago
It's been nearly 10 years since we've had a proper white and yellow away kit i've been desparate for one. 2009-11 away will always be my favorite nix kit of all time.

The minute the charity kit went up for sale I bought one.

Retre, Hughes, Wootton all out this weekend with injury. Rufer suspended.

I'd put LKH at CB with Payne and play Sheridan at right back. Roa Conchie and Nagasawa into midfield.

Edit: only good news is Rojas is back

Bought/Ordered the Charity top, no name on it though. Be a nice summer top. Got the 4XL to allow for the Puku.

What the hell are we doing in training? Almost no in game injuries but the training ones don’t stop??

Hammy injuries as well, so Wootton & Hughes maybe out for weeks, not just a game.

Somewhat ironically Josh Laws comes into the WSW squad!
Debut Jayden Smith? He's been in alot of match day squads this season.

But can see it being 3 makeshift CBs of Piper, Payne & LKH

Where's al-Taay, late back from international duty?

Omg, wtf is going on during training, we've been on an international break.    Makeshift team, I can see this being our worst at home defeat ever.  Can we just forfeit this game now ☹️

Heh, was just about to say he's not at WPX anymore and remembered where he went!

On another note has Josh Oluwayemi brought the Tottenham injury curse with him? It's been relentless this season. The facilities at NZCIS are brilliant, so are we just ridiculously unlucky or is there something we're missing injury prevention wise? It's not like we're training to play heavy metal football either! Surely we've top of the table in injuries?

Hey, I guess that with our defense essentially depleted we may have no choice but to attack... (:

Melb City especially early season, definitely league leaders in the injury stakes.
Even now they are still suffering. For their match this weekend

Unavailable: 6. Steven UGARKOVIC (suspension), 7. Mathew LECKIE (calf), 8. Jimmy JEGGO (achilles), 15. Andrew NABBOUT (knee), 34. Jayden NECOVSKI (knee), 40. James NIEUWENHUIZEN (knee)

Atleast Chief won't start 7 defenders as we don't have that many left in the squad.

We are probably going to see a back 5 of Payne, Sheridan, Piper, LKH, Sutton. Will be interesting to see who is picked at RWB out of Piper, Sheridan & Payne.

I'm just happy that we probably won't see Sheridan or LKH in midfield since they'll be needed further back. We might actually get to see a midfield made up of midfielders.

Edit: I said this before I realized Conchie wasn't in the squad...

no conchie!!!seems forgotten about now...imteresting concept of development of players..supyk in squad but mostly ignored whille the teachers pets continue getting opportunities

Another David Ball situation where Italiano is freezing him out perhaps?

Interesting that Dylan Gardiner was not called up.

Like others have said, these injuries after two weeks of no games is not good. I'm imagining that Wootton and Hughes somehow had a freak collision of hamstrings.

Loke, Smith, Makowem & Candy have all been in match day squads prior. Smith who was surprisingly given a scholarship deal ahead of Gardiner last year, many times. He could debut tomorrow.

Be good to get some feedback from Chiefy on Roa Conchie's non selection. Unless he's injured, it does say there is some sort of clash between him & Italiano. Otherwise he should be in there with Retre & Rufer both out.

You'd probably get the same response when he was asked about Ball, something along the lines of "he's been asked to work on some things and is progressing with those, he know where he stands etc"

then you ask the player and he's "I have no idea what's going on, Ive not heard from the coach or the management team, Im really just confused."

Four assists and a goal from a fullback over two games will help :)

Hughes went off injured against SFC, it's that injury that is keeping him out. In saying that, it won't shock me if he suddenly turns up tomorrow (classic Chiefy)

And with these injuries, they are on the ladder ...  at what position?

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

4 3 3?
        Oluwayemi
Piper  Payne LKH Sutton
   Sheridan Nagasawa
            Geraldes
LBS Barbarouses Ishige

LBS over Rojas. Both good on attack but LBS fitter and stronger on the ball, more likely to get back and help the defence, and is some sort of a long ball target. Ishige also gets back well.
That front 4 and Nagasawa would be good to watch. If they ever get the ball.
