Great effort, well done everyone involved.

I put $23 US dollars in the bucket without even flinching for the U17s. $4.19 is, in my personal opinion, slightly steep for what it is, but I happily paid it because I am happy to support yellow fever and everything they do.

Downloaded it, and liking it.

Choice.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

Ask mum?

Mummy said I have to wash the car first AND vacuum.......
Seriously though Well done Pat and Nik. There is a lot of work in things like these. I may get it if there is some special prizes given away in the exclusive thread. Otherwise..... I dunno.

We would need Whooooooooo to show up for that to happen nufc.

In others news, I've released an update (v1.0.3) for the Android version, which should fix some of the crashes that have been occurring. It should show up in the Play Store and on your device within the next couple of hours, please hit update when it comes through.

"I'll only buy it if there are prizes worth more"

Seriously that's just weak. Surely the ability to read/post better from your mobile alone is worth a few dollars given the hours you spend on here?
Let alone the fact this is supporting not only the Fever in general but the efforts of the two guys that donate a bunch of time to keeping the forums running and then on top of that find even more time to develop this for us ungrateful lot...

The whole prize thing was a joke. Here's another.... The $4 means nothing to me, I own 7 businesses ! Where is BringBackSmeltz anyway ?

If it works great for ipad then I will get it.

You'll have to forgive me for assuming you were a stingy rather than funny. The evidence wasn't in your favour.

So much this. Currently I can only listen at home, phone kicks  fuss, and work PC blocks it :P

Like most things I've done for the app the podcasts thing would mainly be a good excuse to go learn another API ;)

Having the podcasts on the app would be very nice.

Hate to say it guys, the app is also the perfect place for... song-sheets!

Also, how a Football-Factory-meets-4-Square kind of thing where you can locate fellow soccer hooligans looking to meet up for a bit of a ruck?

Loving the app. Much easier to use than the full website on mobile.

See the $5 as a donation toward time spent working on the forums as a whole, not just for the app. Surely nobody can begrudge them the $5 charge.

The majority of the proceeds are going straight to the Fever, Nik and I are only taking a small portion in order to cover our own costs. So by purchasing the app, not only are you supporting the costs that go into keeping the apps and websites running, you'll be helping the Fever as a whole do some awesome things this season.

We've also launching the brand new FeverCard, which will be available through an in-app purchase, which will get you discounts at Fever stalwarts (such as RYOS), as well as some brand new locations around Wellington, such as KaPai. This will also be the only way to claim the discounts that we have sorted out at locations in Napier and Christchurch, so make sure you purchase yours today!

Well done but gotta say little disappointed with this part.As one who dosnt use either of these like a few others i am aware of.Having been on board as member since the very early days little sad to see i am effectively being cut out

Patricio, in his enthusiasm, has overstated the mark there a bit. We will have some extra-special deals for Card holders. But there'll still be deals for all.

This Sunday at Kings for example, there'll be general beer discounts but also a super-free beer special for card holders.

If that offends you, well that sucks. We don't do these things to upset people, but having hit rock bottom financially this off-season we need to turn all your love and cuddles into some actual cash if we're going to keep making things awesome round here.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Me and Ballane joined up on the same day - 29/3/2007.

We are Old Skool. The internet didn't exist back then and we had to write letters to each other about how much we liked the Phoenix.

Then the internet came along and we were all like OMG!, WTF?, FML.

At first I didn't really like it, because it meant I had to upgrade my ZX Spectrum but then I found out about all the porn, and Napster, and buying old rap records on eBay, and harassing celebrities on Twitter, and there was even better games than on my ZX Spectrum. And then I was like wow I think I can get quite a lot of benefit out of this for not much extra cost.

So the moral of the story is that things change and sometimes you just gotta move with the times. And the other moral of the story is mostly other people don't really care what you think when you are getting a free service from a free website that is free because a bunch of other people do a shit-load of stuff for free so you're really ahead of the game from Day One and pretty much just complaining because you aren't getting enough free stuff already.

That said, we are still really fucking Old Skool and deserve at least some respect for simply surviving just like those old Greek dudes you see playing dominoes in the Olympic clubrooms.

ZX81 right here.

It had only just occurred to me that there would be a financial implication to host this stuff etc. Good on you guys for attempting to get some cash flow to keep the gig running. I wonder if the club would chip in a little.

Looking at the dates you joined Tegal, you joined a number of days after him, so not since day one. Calling it a donation also implies it is a charity. It is a good product that has been made and one should pay for it. It is not a charity

Oh for fucks sake. What a bunch of moaning cunts. I take it up the ass for my moaning but over the sake of $5 when most of you will spend more than that on one beer or a Big Mac? Jesus this is the height of really being so far up our own asses.

For ages, everyone has wanted better mobile accessibility to the site. Patrick and Nik have obviously put in a lot of time and effort. If you can't fork out $5 then seriously, shut the hell up. I know some wont like that but really, five fucking dollars. As mentioned in another post, it helps keep this place running and for the free and/or cheap beer thats been flowing recently, take a look at yourselves.

I don't buy a lot of apps, so I don't really know where the cost of this app sits amongst the rest but I think that is irrelevant.  I paid the fiver without a second thought, mainly because I think it's easily worth it for the app and for all the time put into it. But also, I know that YF don't ever aim for profit, whatever $$ YF make goes to something else to make life as a Nix supporter better. In fact, I probably wouldn't even blink at paying 20 for it because YF has given me more than I have ever given YF! That reminds me, probably time to buy another shirt...

Fuck this stupid game
