Am I right in saying we can't send PMs on this current forum?

It is possible, but the user you wish to PM has to manually enable it in their user settings. Also, it just starts an email conversation with the user, rather than being completely forum based.

So another feature that is worse? Or is it going to change?

Can somebody help me. The new YF website has been driving me nuts for months. The latest mental torture is:

I enter the website and the "latest" item on the newsfeed is from months ago. I look to the top corner and it indicates I am not logged in. I click sign in and a new page comes up with "access denied" but the top corner now indicates I am logged in! Return to the news feed and it's back to square one of the problem and on it goes in a mad infinity loop.

but wait! If I sign out then the news feed is updated. Mucho frustrato.

Tegal or Patrick said to press ctrl + F5.  That updates the page.

I do miss the PM function.

I had problems with Chrome in Linux, both Chrome and Firefox seem to work fine in Windows though.

What distribution of Linux are you using? I've had no problems with Chrome on a NetBSD system running KDE.

I think the moaning is more because we had a perfectly functional (and bloody brilliant) website before. But now we just have a broken one with no functionality

DOS worked well too!

Poor analogy.

DOS was replaced by a better system that actually worked.

This website aint Windows.

Kudos to the guys for trying your best but surely a roll back to the old site would be better than this. Can anyone outline the improvements since the last site? As a user I see none...

Anyone done some stats on visiting members and posters since the swap? Obviously it would be down during the off-season but how does it compare to last off-season?

LOL case and point

New website: I've tried to like it.  But...

Well if the website did what it was meant to do it would have been better.  Not the Fever's fault that it didn't get there.  Numbers are roughly the same as pre switch.

We're doing some testing on the new forums, so hopefully that should make things a little easier.

I'm definitely not blaming the fever

"Kudos to the guys for trying your best" was my line

It's unfortunate how it has turned out so far and I feel for you guys. I certainly appreciate the effort that goes in from all of you to organise all things yellow fever/white noise, you guys are phenomenal.

Unfortunately this website is not.

Looking forward to the forum improvements massively...

I appreciate that there are bigger issues but once those get fixed, can we make the last page button somewhat bigger? The amount of time my fat fingers has clicked on ukkiwi when trying to get into the transfer thread, I think I can recall his/her profile line by line

Oh right :) We're using a thing called Twitter Bootstrap to help out with some of the UI stuff so I thought it might be that... but yeah, the old PHP errors were about encoding, this is UTF-8 all the way so no problems with that *crosses fingers*
I can bring some errors back just for you if you'd like ;)

How would that show up? Just the total number of +/- 1s for a particular post?
