He's getting quite good. Just turned 21 and has 190 games under his belt for Lokomotiv.

finally, a decent pull after 3 average weeks. hopefully he can fulfil his potential!
Had a real solid run of youth prospects of late, getting a bit excited - all these guys are scouted as 4.5 stars:
Dubious that my training facilities are enough for them all to end up as 4.5 but if I can get a few 4 star players from the lot I'll be quite pleased have to say.
Nice. Have managed to pull 4-5 4.5 star players in the last couple of seasons (ever since YA was upgraded to 8+). Also hoping they end up being close to what the scouts make out to be
so my reserve team got 1 point all season.... haha still ranked lower than the inactive teams
Ed Moir continues to develop:
defo a future NT keeper their mate, one of my scouts checked him out when he was 15, and at one star. Just rechecked him now and the he is scouted as a wonder kid (20) full 5* potential.

He's a bit short, and his reflexes, one on ones and handling are not yet top shelf, but his physical stats are still building nicely.
His Stamina, Strength, Pace are now 16, 17, 18 respectively.
nice, at least you know what areas he needs to be trained.

Probably... you'd think height should matter for keepers though.

Yep, if only you had some control over GK training...
Ed Moir becomes the first product of the Little Trains youth academy to break 100,00 SI
Wow super nice! Hope to get a couple into the 20-30+ range and I'll be happy with my reserves. Think I may need to play a super weak team so I don't get promoted from my group, then be able to afford/pull decent players, keep a couple, sell a couple. Profit!
Ed Moir just ticked over to 4.5 stars:
Here is the current Trains first team line up. The players highlighted in red boxes are Youth Programme graduates.
Ed Moir continues to develop...
4.5* or higher scouted players from my academy. My club is losing a shark load of money as some of my players' wages increase though! Level 10 YA, level 8 Training Facilities.
Pretty happy I took this route but now I don't know how to keep my club sustainable. Might have to sell 1 or 2 of these players next season so I can continue to grow my stadium.
What YA level are you guys? I'm level 10 and seem to get a 4.5 pot every 3-4 weeks. Got 2 in a row about a month back. But my economic situation is dire and I don't have money to sign them ha ha...

I must be on a good run then.
However with my academy players coming into their bloom the payroll is burgeoning. I need to offload a decent player a season to keep in the positive...
I know the higher the level the better the odds of a gem, but the odds can't improve that much because it still seems random as shark
I am at 8. Had it on 10 for a long time, and the pulls have built the spine of my team, but I couldn't afford it so downgraded.
OK sounds like I'm heading down the road that some of you have already taken. I'm -$60mil at the moment and losing a heap each week but mostly on wages because my YA players are blooming getting to 10-30k+ in skill index.
Might have to bite the bullet and sell a couple to make this sustainable!
Got a 5* potential DM R today. My YA and every one of my 4 scouts says he's a wonderkid with 20/20 potential.
How are peoples youth pulls? and levels, contemplating downgrading to save a bit more money
How are peoples youth pulls? and levels, contemplating downgrading to save a bit more money
I downgraded to level 8 and I occaisionally get a 4.5 star, whoc usually only tops out as a 4 star in the long run (I have training level 10).
Once your team gets to where Lokomotiv are, with 4 stars being the MINIMUM for a starting place, then 3 star pulls are not worth worrying about - I might sell them but usually they are a waste of space.
So I am considering that academy at level 8 does not produce enough quality to sustain my team in the long run, and above that simply costs too much with my stadium size (45k) and resultant income streams.
So I think I have to begin trading to continue to develop the team.
seems i am in the same situation as you then.... get nothing from my YA but i lose money every week so deciding what is best for my team.
Not sure on this trading stuff either. not sure what is a good price
I have 7 active teams and reduced all the YA to 2 a couple of seasons ago. Crap pulls and sending me broke.
But now I'm rebuilding my top four teams YA up to a target of L8.
A YA is useless in the lower leagues but from Division 2 up one needs players, even if its to sell. And in smaller competitions there are not enough good players to choose from.
All the players being sold are someone else's rejects so if one ever wants to get to the top and stay there one has to do it with ( mostly) ones own players.
This game is for the long haul, that's for sure

To pay for YA you have to train and sell most of the players pulled. Also one needs a B team to get the rec up for sale or use.
Best to sell a player just after a 1/2 star increase, more the better if they still have a year of bloom left. That's when you'll get the rich clubs with 10 training jumping on for development and future profit.
I've had a yoof team since my second season, have my YA at lvl 8 and training grounds at 10, pulls avg at about 3* but I'm only keeping the 3.5*+ and selling them unless they are able to get to 4.5 or 5*
I get good pulls (YA lvl10) but like you've all said it costs an arm and a leg. Starting the season on minus 30mil. Have reduced training and considering reducing YA to lvl9 which will mean I'll be able to break even.
I have 3 4.5* in my YA but can't sign since I have no moneys.
Deleted my reserve team and will sell off some young talent from that team to improve my economic situation.
The reserves did nothing but lose and gain some routine but I can't really justify having such a big squad overall.
Look out for some good talent/deals!

You've reached the stage I was at when I quit. I went no youth and higher training. That way when you pick up a gem on the transfer market you can still train them, then either sell for profit or keep. It's hard work once you reach that stage, hence why I fell behind when didn't have the time and eventually quit because I had already gone as far as I could in the game after many years (winning cup and premier league amongst other trophies).
Just make sure you have a lot of top quality scouts.

One thing which is annoying is that getting promoted into the premiership has cost me money, which seems like a flaw in the game. Basically because the sponsor money I can get as Premiership cannon fodder is so measly, and even though you get more fans it's not enough to make up for the lost sponsorship. It seems counterintuitive that going up a grade would reduce your income but that's the difference between sponsor income as a decent team in the 2nd tier and as a crap team in the premiership.
I always knew when I got promoted that I would go straight back down but I didn't think I'd be in a worse financial position than when I went up!
