I’m going to the game tonight but it’s an absolute bollocking of a price for an international friendly.
$86 for an adult!?! $43 for a child is stonking.
Wouldn’t be surprised if there is no more than 10k there considering the prices and it being a Tuesday evening. Taupoboy
How many tickets have been sold? Reading the Oz forum, it has been mentioned that only 7,000 so far!! Personally, I will be watching at home here in Taupo, by the time I get home and getting up early tomorrow will be too much for this " middle " aged person. And before anyone gets on the band wagon about not being a real supporter, I follow the team in the 82 campaign, going to all the games except the away at Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Being spat on at Jakarta, abused in Taiwan, and roughed up at the SCG, if that's not a Supporter what is?? But the ultimate was being in the National Stadium in Singapore, where I couldn't wave my NZ scarf , it was political, but when China scored all these Chineses flags appeared out of nowhere and the cops didn't do a thing about that.
There's still adult tickets available at $31 and Child for $18.50 in Category C, or in Category B adults for $51 and children for $28.50 so there are cheaper prices if you want them but yeah Category A is $91 for an adult! which feels a bit much
this depends on the goal difference across the two legs, so if we win 2-0 then the ashes are ours, if we win 1-0 the aggregate is 1-1 so pens will be necessary I think.
"The winner on aggregate across Friday’s match and Tuesday’s match will win the Soccer Ashes trophy currently held by Australia. If the aggregate score is tied after 90 minutes on Tuesday, there will be a penalty shootout to decide the winner."
Also, I love this photo of Woodsy in the article, ha ha.

That’s the face of a man who leaves the football behind and goes home to a baby girl who laughs at him if he scored 3 screamers or missed a one v one…happy days.
De Vries and Payne backing up. There’s hope for all of us. It feels like Bazeley is starting to test the determination and mental strength of some of the players. Possibly McCowatt last dig. Our FB potentially today!
25y 331d - The average age of @Socceroos' starting XI today is 25y 331d; the last time they fielded a younger starting line up was 22 June 2017 vs Cameroon (25y 266d) at the FIFA Confederations Cup. Youth.#Socceroos#SoccerAshes#NZLvAUShttps://t.co/dPrw7MhLVk
First quarter of an hour with the AWs being more dominant, but not enough follow through.
It's hard to explain bit we almost seem to reluctant to make that final third move. I think we need to just get the ball in there more with some greater urgency
