Not sure if i agree being better side, Australia produced a couple of key moments themselves and are ahead.. i thought fridays performance was far more commanding, they’re getting through our midfield with relative ease in transition, but that’s just my observation MetalLegNZ
We've been the better side again. Even if we lose, I'm still happy with the progression of the team.
Agree with Nixieboys. If I were rooting for the Socceroos, I would say their defence dealt well with everything and hit us on a break, which is all they needed.

Australia show their advantage in that they get plenty of high intensity tough games. They are used to playing under pressure. In defense they are really tight. Wood is doublr marked every time. NZ has good players but we really need lots more tough games. We need to learn how to unlock these sort of sides. Lots to be positive for the AWs though.
I can't believe I am frustrated by us outplaying Australia. But here we are. Hope for more of the same with a more clinical edge for the 2nd half.
I'm imagining Cacace out there making one of those runs to the box and absolutely lacing it in frustration at the lack of killer intent and natural goal scorers.

We look good and do some cool stuff.. but they are pretty safe really.
Fallon was right about if you long ball it to Wood you need other players in tight for the knock downs. Hes often really isolated. We still havent figured out our best use of Wood. I like our play down the left. Oldy offers something different but his combination with FdV is still a work in progress

Yeh, that's a nice way to put it. Partly as someone said because we don't get many top level games. Bindon guilty again of being a bit soft and giving a bit much to Irakunda.
