67' - Substitution for NCL Poulidor Toto replaces Ramon Osamali

72' - Substitution for NCL Allan Hnautra replaces Jonathan Kakou (OFC)

Although Fifa denies this and tells me 81 minutes are gonewolfman2008-09-06 19:38:58

What a terrible call! As bad as Ben Williams penalising Zura for being strong.

Smeltz vs Keeper going for a 50-50 ball outside the box, shoulder to shoulder. Keeper went down and the reff blew. No card.

Great for the Nix that Smeltzy keeps the momentum going...

76' - GOAL New Zealand 3 - New Caledonia 1 - Shane Smeltz scores a cracking goal, after recieving the ball on the edge of the box, turning his marker and firing a powerful shot into the top corner.

allez les tout blanc
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Respect to our hero Smeltzy with his 2 goal haul for the AW's......especially considering he chose to be in NC representing his country in an important match rather than be in Adelaide for the birth of his 2nd child......

Legend, and that 2nd goal was a scorcher!!

What I find interesting is that there has been no comment about this making us Oceanian champions.

How many representatives of the Peoples Republik of Zealand's Aucklandia are likely to rise from their stupor and get the game next week?

91' - New Zealand players are cramping up all over the pitch, suffering from the heat.

92' - Substitution for New Zealand Chris James replaces Jarrod Smith.

Full time - New Zealand are off to the Confederations Cup courtesy of a 3-1 victory over New Caledonia. They have also secured their place in a playoff match against the fifth ranked Asian confederation side for a place in the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa.

There you go
