To be honest, i'm quite impressed they've got 10k at both pre-sales thus far. I would have thought it could have easily been worse. They really will need good weather for walkups at both, though.

Are people still going on about the venues? For all the sh*t many gave Aucklanders before tickets went on sale, their game is still selling as well, if not better, than the Wellington game. As for whether Chch would sell better, quite simply you cannot prove that, so I guess we'll never know. So get over it.

And if you live in Wellington or Auckland and haven't bought your tickets - what the hell are you playing at? If these games don't sell out it will be a very bad look for New Zealand football. I'm confident they will though... hopefully!

A) I was referring to Auck getting the game in a stadium that is only 20k and half full at the moment. I believe CHCH could outsell that as we got 19k(?) for the Phoenix last year.

B) Yes I am a Phoenix fan, just not very impressed at how it is being run at the moment. 1.4m owed to WCC in today's paper. But that's another thread.

Dont want to knock the 19k you got for the nix last year, but two factors are relevant to that crowd 1) It was the reopening of the new stand down there so plenty went along for a sticky beak at that, 2)The nix had big momentum leading up to that game , and it was summersthn.jeff2010-09-30 11:01:19

And seeing that Auckland is selling more than Wellington THE HOME OF FOOTBALL at the moment, I think it's a really huge call to say that Christchurch could beat Wellington.
