Smithy has secured a great deal at the hotel bar for us.

Not my work I must say, but the fine work of Wayne and Terry at Classic Travel.
Basically (they tell me) a 500ml handle of Castle Lager will set you back 15 rand, which according to google is NZD$2.9
Terry also told me that the dude who owns our hotel asked him how many of those each of us would drink each night so he could gauge stock levels. Terry said: 12. The guys eyes fell out. But at least we know they won't run out!
Lubs Terry and Wayne.
Bring it on.
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I'd be keen to see some pictures of banners you lot have made (or crappy microsoft paint prototypes of ones you would like to make) to take with you to the Republic. Given there's only a small contingent of you, they're bound to get on telly, so make 'em funny! I did enjoy the David Bain one at the Serb game.
For the womens U17 WC in 08, my mates and I made a german banner that said "Ihre Titten bitte" which loosely translates to "get your tits out". Decorated the banner with a couple of german flags and painted on some footballs. Got it on international television, and a couple of mates I met when I was in germany told me it made it onto a Football Highlights/Analysis show.
Our "North Korea is BEST Korea" banner didn't fare so well, and was torn down by security about 2 mins after we hung it up.

What was the David Bain one? I've got one of the official One Shot for Glory flags - its about two metres so will need to make it smaller (fold to remove Bahrain/Nov 14 reference) that I plan to take.
Getting tangental,but the Clarke "Good on ya Pup, bros over hoes" banner at the Wgtn one-dayer went down a treat until security confiscated it.
Pathetic. Not apathetic.

"There's only one Tommy Smith" should make an apperance!

There are tight restrictions in relations to size....
Prohibited:
-flagpoles or banner poles of any kind. Only flexible plastic poles and so-called double-poles that do not exceed 1 metre in length and 1 cm in diameter and which are not made of inflammable material are permitted;
-banners or flags larger than 2m x 1m50. Smaller flags and banners are permitted provided that they are made from material which is deemed "of low flammability" and complies with national regulations and standards;

Here is a link to the fan's guide. http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/tournament/loc/01/20/26/44/fanguidelres.pdf
Has a lot of good info around how to get to each stadium, and detail of the fan zones to watch other games.

Re: Bain, it read "DAVID BAIN IS GUILTY". Right next to the halfway line. I had a good giggle, wondered if he was a football fan.
an old boy of my old school took it up a notch when the aussies came a few months back, this was the result:
