I will be talking to the boss about leave (well, trying to sort out where we are at with it) then booking in.
i thought you got that sorted already, mine looks good, cos nothing major will happen around May and June next year

if money is an issue, get a personal loan, lol

well, long story short: Someone else has leave booked but my boss has every intention of trying to swing this for me. I just have to get the green light proper.

Great package guys, great price for a well thoughtout trip. I think you have done a hellava job putting it together...!

Me and the Missus would have been interested if we hadn't already put together our own trip with friends, (this will be our 5th WC trip). But I will be letting others know that a well-priced supporters option is available...

Funnily enough, we will be staying only 20kms away from the ROODE Vallei lodge, so we might swing by... :-)

I reckon the package looks mint. I have some further travel to arrange, but 90% sure I'll be coming.  Internal transfers shouldn't be too much extra - many of the venues are drivable from pretoria.

I'd be interested to hear if there would be anyone staying on for the rest of the tournament, or people going on other tours (god forbid)  keen to meet up.  I have my eye on the Netherlands R16 match in Durban (laugh if you will, but this would be the match that the second qualifier for R16 plays from NZ's pool too), and some other games in Jo'burg afterwards, might make a cheeky application for the final as well - why not (apart from teh price, but it would be worth it, even paying $400US for a nose bleed and altitude sickness type seat), it's the WC Final!

Joachim, hope you can make it too, if my singing didn't put you off the idea of it

I've been doing some scouting and thought some guys might be interested in this.
We play our last game on the 24th at 4pm in Polokwane.
We fly out on the 26th from Johnannwsburg at 12:40.

However Portugal play Brazil in Durban on the 25th at 4pm.
It is possible to fly in and out to see this game for about 2400 rand or $440 NZ.  I'm all over that sh*t if I can get tickets to the game.

i really need a friend right now, none of my football friends are going

I imagine twin share we have to share with someone if we go by ourselves

or the tour will organise people pairing up for the rooms?

I'll be going by myself too, but that doesn't matter.  You can pay extra to get yor own accom. (called a single supplement), or just go twin share and you'll be put up with someone else, maybe make a new friend or two along the way!

Oska: I'm going one way, so they're obviously happy to accomodate people, within reason!  Looking at options for after the YF tour as I mentioned earlier in the thread.  Will post when I have details, would be happy for others to come along, though I won't be alone by then...

No it won't be alright. The World Cup is in Africa. And you will be in Europe.

Shame.

To be honest, despite no World Cup, Europe will still be very nice. I wasn't saying it'll be alright in regards to the World Cup, more it'll be an alright place to go on a holiday World Cup or no World Cup.

18. See following extract from Terms & Conditions for Emirates FIFA WC tour packages:

"9.5 Minors under the age of eighteen (18) must be accompanied by an adult on all modes of transportation. Heightened security concerns (e.g., to prevent the international abduction of minors) may result in the adoption of practices in RSA which require a non-travelling parent to issue the minor with written travel consents. It is your responsibility to provide such consent."

Im working on it, the problem is that my mum and dad are having there 25th wedding anniversary, so our family is going on a cruise(im hopefully going to the WC though), but its at the same time as the WC so dad probally would come but he cant really. So if I get the money our ask mum if she could help pay for one of my 20+ year old bros to come with me.tomrewi2009-12-17 13:00:04

so me and a friend (who isn't going to this WC but have been to the 2002 WC) did some research just on flights and they're expensive as hell, which makes this package pretty good, although I wonder how much more extra will the match tickets cost and are YF tour gonna hook us up with the package that they already put out?

at this stage I have a lot of questions but definitely still keen to go

I am going on the fever tour.

I'm interested in a twin share - preferably with someone I already know or someone from Wellington or Auckland who wants to PM me.
