Great tour that you've put together guys, really blows all the others out of the water in terms of affordability.
Did the hard yards myself and booked everything ex melbourne but it's great that the YF Tour will be just outside of Pretoria as that's where me and my girlfriend are staying for the first 3 weeks.
When tickets get announced, it'd be great to see what the plan is for transfers to the games, would be dead keen to get in on that.
on another note, does anyone know where to get those nike pre game jackets that the AW's were wearing on Nov 14? they're pure class

Does this mean match tickets plus transfers will potentially send the package through the roof..?

I did some rough calculations and it wouldn't surprise me to see tickets and transfers to the 3 All Whites games costing an additional $1500

MuseN how did you come up with that no.?

Tickest are a set price in USD (see FIFA web page for details).  Group games are 80 USD for the cheap seats.

Normo's coming home

Not. What were your calculations?

That's probably not miles away.

Tickets are going to be USD$250 ish (call it NZD$400).  Then we've got three long bus trips to arrange and pay for which might cost a bit.

Remember at the outset we said it would be all up under $8.5k.  It will be.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

How times change. At the 94 world cup i think tickets were between 25 and 35 USD.
Bit of a bargain looking back.

I based it on getting the Category 1 tickets which are $528USD from FIFA (about $750) and the bus trips could easily cost $200-250NZD each. We could get the Category 3 tickets but I remember reading somewhere that most of them were already gone.

Does the YF Tour qualify as an approved tour operator..?

I'm just curious about this before I fork out any money on tickets and so on...

Check this link out:

"Please note that only those operators appointed by MATCH Services and displaying the official logo are licensed to sell these authorized travel packages available to the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa."

Not FIFA approved - as there is no reason to be.

Paid deposit today. Can we book domestic flights through them or is it just easier to do it ourselves?

Yes but that is 1/2 an hr less at the bar at Auckland airport during which I will probably spend another $20 so would actually save $30.

Its no longer a problem.

Joachim, hope you can make it too, if my singing didn't put you off the idea of it V

I thought my singing would have put you off wanting me along as well

Unfortunately there's nothing my boss can do for me and I don't quite have the funds to do the trip and abandon my job. Sounds like I would be too slow with the rate the tour is selling anyway.

To cut a long story short due to someone else taking a holiday at that time the only cover we have are casuals and they can't say what they'll be doing in June now. I could find myself able to get eave in May but about all the good that'll do me is I'll be able to watch the games on tv without having to go to work on little to know sleep.

I'm truly gutted but I hope you lads have a great time and sing your hearts out for me. I may be tone deaf and have a horrid singing voice but it's loud and expect you all to make up for it.
