Hello!   NZF....anyone there?  we are playing Japan in 5 or 6 weeks time. We don't seem to have a coach. 

Some poor bastard is going to be dropped into this role at the last minute.......Japan away...hmmmmm!  that will be the mother of all hospital passes.

I guess they are waiting until the new CEO arrives. But he won't be hear until later in Feb....by the time he gets his feet under the desk and sorts out whats going on it could be late Feb. Just a few weeks before the match. Things never change do they?

I would imagine they will give the gig(temporarily)  to the guy who said he doesn't really want the job....Emblem. Why not find someone right now who is super keen and fired up to make a difference, like Ramon.....and at least give him some time to prepare properly.

It's just a friendly. I'd rather they take their time to get the best possible person than rush to get someone in before the Japan game.

Actually that's not as laughable as it sounds. When you consider the track record of the last year, that could well happen.

I have to say, I don't think I would be fully against it if he got the job.

He has done very well in NZ, he comes for a good football background, and most importantly we could afford him!

Could be a useful experiment. I'd suggest it might not just be the results on the pitch that might be the deciding factor in an appointment either.

Anyone here willing to guess who Ramon will pick for the team if its true he's got the gig? I suppose nobody outside NZ/Oz will be available. Bound to be a few surprises.

It's a tough ask on him. I hope he isn't judged too much on the result, or even performance, of this in terms of having a shot at the position full time.

If Ramon has got the tick for the time being, I guess he just told Ivan that we would not get called up... makes sense.

How can the words 'Neil Emblen" be confused with the words 'Ramon Tribulietx'?

i heard this too - although not from the Sommet Sports commentary - this rumour is doing the rounds in Auckland this week - the NE one not the RT one.

It may have been talked about earlier, but who is the womens team coach again, he seems to get the most out of his players and would be worth a look in aswell, all things considered.
