If you go to the ASB premiership home page http://www.nzfc.co.nz/index.php?id=48
and look at the golden boot front runners you'll be amazed at how much Emiliano Tade looks like Aaron Clapham, they could be twins

Emiliano Tade
Auckland City
Goals:8
GP:9
Last:2 v Hawke's Bay 6/2

Not Claps as he has 9 goals, but he does have a Spainish/ Mexican look about him.

Unfortunately the've updated the website and removed the glaring mistake as Tade has dropped out of the top 3 goal scorers.Ronaldoknow2012-03-11 20:12:15

Check this out from the ASB Premiership website match report from today's game -

"The bald facts of the result dont tell even half the story. On the plus side for Canterbury they have a chance of progressing to the O-League next season as long as Auckland City win the Premiership title."

Completely overlooks the fact that Canterbury may also get there by winning the Premiership themselves.
Pompous twats.

OCL isn't confirmed yet for CU.  They or ACFC need to win the final for them to qualify.

True that. Although there is some rough guessing of how many chickens there are, we aren't officially counting just yet. However, if Canty beat Waitak in the semi, and Auckland beat Wellington, then we can!

Yes but due to ASB Premiership games being put back because of the Olympic qualifiers Canterbury's next game, the final round robin against Auckland City not being played until Easter Weekend, Sunday 8 April at 2pm.

If Dragons make OCL will squad players be released back to winter clubs?
Pre season training for dragons 2013 comp to start in late June or first week July?
If word at drinks at Robbies is correct the above is on Keith's wish/want list.

Also heard that if we do make the OCL cut then could be pre-season games on the cards, maybe off-shore.

There is also serious talk from NZ Football that the O League in 2013 may be played outside the ASB Premiership, so this would allow for a 21 round ASB Prem, and not the stop/start nature of the current sumner season.

O League would be played during the start of our winter season, this may be an advantage to the two NZ teams, but if the ASB is increased I can see the Dragons management trying to insure all players have a good break or maybe not even play over the coming winter.

Dragons have a game lined up for next weekend venue Tulett Park. Day and KO time not known yet will depend on cricket use of number 2 wicket.

Mainland Football making things harder for the boys by ruling out ASB Park for the Dragons training tonight.
Good Job some people are looking after the the team.
The guys have had three games against local MPL/Div I teams during the last two weeks.
Results with Dragons winning as you would expect.
Halswell 9-0, Western 8-0 and Nomads 5-0.
Looks like the Dragons opposition getting stronger by those scores.

If we go through with Auckland City we're in the O-League regardless. BUT, if Waitakere go through and lose to ACFC in the final, does Waitakere go as cup runners up or do we go as league runners up?

Could we be looking at a Dragons - Wellywood final? Would that make it the first ever with no Jaffa's?

Would make it the first time in ages that it hasn't been ACFC vs Waitakere, let alone neither of them.

Only way Dragons don't qualify is if Wellywood or Waitak win grand final.

Would assume that it would mean the Grand Final would be in Christchurch.

Wooohoo!
Good crowd and a half time whip round should see us break the back of the $130k we need for the O league

Canterbury has been a consistently great team this year. They'll win the second leg easily. As for TW, don't think they can hold out next Sunday. It will be a strong showing by them, but Auckland will put a few in.

If Waitakere wins 2-1 or 3-2 will it go to extra time, or will away goals rule?

Away goals rule will come into play.

I posted this on the Mainland page as well so if looking at booking flights should it be a Auckland vs. Canterbury Final do not head north on the 29th.

Looks like if Canty United reach the ASB Grand Final, along with Auckland then the Final will not be on 29 April as looking at the Oceania Football Confederation Webesite as the O League final is set down for the same date:
