They started game more like 4 4 2 formation. With Stu Kelly and Russell Kamo upfront and Clapham behind. In the second half Stu and Clapham  swapped positions. Yes, Michael White played wide.
On paper they have very good team, but looked very ordinary, especially in the middle and at the back.

Just put the order in now for little brezzes next year, please Sir.

No ,  just accepting the inevitable ....personally wouldnt wish him on Waitak .....

i understand that christie no longer good enough for the all whites (or is he really?)

but i don't understand the hate

he's a nice guy and very inoffensive

he tries hard and by new zealand standards (especially at the time) has played at a decent level

we are not spain.  we have a long track record of midfield grafters; players that lack the flashy skills, but try to do a job

hardly a hateable offence on his part

and i'll add that it seems to have become 'cool' on these forums to abuse him

which is rather pathetic

Wheres he played in the last year ?? ...tho not so much a comment on him as on RHs selection ability ...

Permalink Permalink

and that sort of comment would be fair enough too

but have a read of the posts and the majority are very derogatory towards christie

including what you just said about not wishing him on waitak

The same selection ability that that can't get his NZF air points card paid for arse on a plane to see some SI football in a season.
The same guy who had the best performer at the training camps in SA during the last WC sit on his arse getting splinters all 3 games, but other lesser ability and effort players got on as subs.

Tuff assignment this weekend away to WaiBOP, look like a well put together squad over pre-season.

Hopefully CU can take all 3points and get the season rolling.

From what I've seen, Terris, Boys, Collett, Schwarz, Murphy, White, Clapham, Kamo, Kelly, Marquez, Moya, Morrison, O'Neill, Schwarz Highfeld are all in the squad, but more are to be announced.

I don't think you'll have too much of a problem with WaiBOP either

Apparently there are some issues over Marquez's international clearance, Canty are trying to sort it out and get a clear ruling on it but he may not play tomorrow

Yes head the same. Sounds like no international clearence when first come to NZ to play up north.

Always amazes me how the same issue crops up, i.e. local feds seemingly not ensuring players from 'off shore' needing an international clearence before playing here.

So he played the entire Northern League without an international clearance? Surely someone and AFF needs to answer for that.
