There has been a couple of articles in the Waikato Times detailing player signings for the coming season.

Feverish is asking about Havelock North Wanderers, I think

He is, all I know about that team is the coach is ex HB United coach Chris Greatholder

Lost 1-0 to Hamilton Wanderers. Also appear to have lost their best player.

Not sure about the signings, but they've just finished their game against Hamilton in Taupo and lost 1:0. I wasn't at the game, but heard from one of the players the only goal was scored after the HBU made several changes and gave a chance to some trialists. Squad looking Ok from what I hear.

So they're down 9 of their starters from the semifinal - still have Fergus Neil - anyone know where Martin Canales is?

same as every year for HBU, the coach still gets good results with the high turnover.

Losing 10 of the 11 starters is a bit different.

Yeah he does..I think hes a great coach, its just frustrating as a fan to have a whole new team each season.Would be nice to keep most of the team together for a couple of years

it's also symptomatic of the league itself with player signed to 5 month part time contracts

TW - HBU 0:0 in Palmy. TW with a bit more space and the ball, HBU looked compact and strong. A fair result.

I liked this kid that played in the 2nd half - a japanese lad (think the name is Hayato or something like that) who also played somewhere in Scandinavia I think.

Quick, technically good, certainly made a difference for HBU in the 2nd half (played as a striker).

Bill was strong at the back and the rest of the team worked really well together.  Am happy with the HBU performance today.

have to be happy with that result in pre season with a newly assembled team. I would love to see what he could put together with a budget similar to the bigger franchises.
