Baiter, myself and a few others have commented earlier on the suspect nature of what is happening here. After reading what Dawkins had to say, I am in no doubt that most or all of what we have said is true

So, just looking at one thing; the supposed 'offer'

Dawkins claims that there was an offer from Colorado. Really? Personally I think this is a pile of bollocks. But if it is bollocks, why would Dawkins say this? And if it is bollocks, why wouldn't the Phoenix deny that the offer existed? I think the answer is that if they did, they would risk inflaming an already volatile situation by pretty much openly calling Roy a liar.

BTW, one more point, Krishna was brooding well before this supposed 'offer' came in.

It's clear that he is unhappy, and he's allowed to be unhappy, but he's not allowed to be a cock about it

funny how now he is unhappy we a lot of us have been pointing out for at least a month or more that he appeared to be just this. Something is definitely going on and it has been for a while, personally I suspect his agent has hyped up the Colorado offer to get a bigger cash deal for Roy from the nix, perhaps they've called him on it hence his tweet in response to a fan asking if he was saying.

he's not really - he looks after Roy, which comes from their relationship from Waitakere United, and thats's it as far as I'm aware - which would explain why you are surprised to discover he's an "agent"

Well, hope he's got a good contract lined up cos he is burning his fan loyalty.  We don't know the whole situation, but it's hard to see him back after this.

On the other hand this really is his last chance to be anywhere else you'd think.  Still not sure this is the way to achieve it.

He doesn't need to fake an injury to talk to other clubs. The only reason he only would do that would be to avoid an extension trigger. The more info we get the more and more it seems to be exactly the case.

If this is true I can't imagine a bigger way to disrespect the club than refusing to honour your contract - especially when the club have already stated they offered him a new contract (one would have assumed on improved terms than the trigger has).

I bet he would have laughed all the way to the bank if a trigger had fallen in his favour and he was out of form or something.

I said similar a few weeks back with the inside info at hand. It's the jets he will be off too. He can fudge off as far as I'm concerned, ain't no professional, just another arrogant twit who believes the world owes him everything! Darje is getting it spot on with him, and I respect what he's trying to do

Well I guess we've all seen the angst at the 'nix- LG wants to protest, did you hear?-and burns and Monty have obviously been signed with the possibility of cover.

On the one hand you can understand some of it. He's our player. 80% of our Sky ad. Krishna's on fire!

On the other hand Ernie was the one that got him where he is and a chance to reunite at a Jets team doing well is obviously a draw card.

But it really rips our season to shark. Which fudges me off.

So so conflicted here.

But if he's gone, don't let it drag out, but don't let him walk scot free. Do the best by our club in terms of the $$ and the least disruption.

remember Leceister won the title using momentum built up by an unbeaten run under Pearson at the end of the previous season. Every game and every moment wearing a Phoenix shirt matters. If you don't want to wear it any more fine. Make sure those who do get the support and our backing.

I see your point and agree that "if you do not want to wear it anymore, fine" is one thing, staying off the field while fit (?) and still contracted to the club is another.  No-one seems to be unhappy with Moss following Ernie to Newcastle, although that is part of our problems this season (poor backup choices in goal). If Roy came out and said "I have an offer and will leave at such and such date but will give the club my best until then" we would all understand, and thank him for his service.

Just to put my two-cents in:

  • Krishna is more likely to be playing in the A-League in November 2018 than MLS.
  • He is more likely to be wearing a blue and red shirt than a yellow and black one.

But what do I know. It will probably be announced that he has signed with Colorado this afternoon.

Seems most likely he's staying seeing as he has an extension clause.

The hard thing to understand is that a few weeks ago we were saying that Roy was one of the few who were working their guts out for the team on the field, and now he seems to be refusing to play.
He must be very unhappy I think.

yo bro, just my opinion obviously, but

colorado already have one import too many and bringing krishna in would mean they have to remove 2 imports from their roster

he's either not or barely MLS quality. and he's 30, so is not likely to improve

he's unhappy, there is a contract 'situation' and the oldest trick in the book is to fake interest from other parties in order to get what you want

From the Fiji Sun today:

This 3 month period is right in the middle of the MLS season, and during the A league offseason.

Plainly the clause is creating a perverse incentive where it is more favourable for Roy not to play.  I just cannot see the logic in such a clause for one of our top players, why is he on an incentivised deal??
