Blanche the wise...
For all the faults of GI, they do seem to have a very strong Junior club. Difficulty seems to be converting this into success at the Senior level.
At least he will be able to boost the Masters team..

thanks Dino, you seem very adriot also

he would be a great signing for GI, but doesn't he live in Oamaru? Rod taking a young lad called Lennox Wilkins from cavvy not sure what position he plays or if he any good?

heard that cavvy might snap up Fraser Cameron

Sam Enright going to Northern

Wilkins played as a right winger for cavvy 2nds last year. From what I saw of him, he's very quick, but lacks technical ability. Would be a benchwarmer at most.

Wilkins is a natural defender. I imagine the only reason cavy played him on the wing was because they dared not place him in defense.
Fresh off the press though from the mans mouth himself, Mike Still is off to braes to 'cerment his legacy in otago football' A brilliant tactical move from well known football icon and genius Alan Laidler? Could Still be exactly the player braes need to catipult them into that top 4?

"Never heard of Chivas, but I'll tell you right now you will never sign a harder working, more committed player than Boyens. Never say die attitude. Outstanding individual and not a halfbad footballer either."

Otagofan, are you taking the michael here? you never heard of Chivas USA?

With his season ending injury this could be true

Surely not...unless he wanted a life threatening injury I think it in his best interests to stay at the train. Still sounds like a strange sighting in any case if true.

Just off the press - a source (will not divulge) has confirmed Rhys "hendo" Henderson is looking at a return to the FPL come March. Apparently he has had enough of the rouge lifestyle and will be returning to these shores.

No formal preseason comp this year. FPL starts 26 March. All other grades start 2 April. First round of Chatham Cup on Easter Monday, April 25.

Not convinced? already cracked top three last year Dino and by a pretty convincing margin, tech can be caught without Coburn

[QUOTE=thetruthnz]

Cavvy or Tech once again FULL.

looking at some of the players Mosgiel have, i think they will finish in the same spot as last year, how old are Mike & Phillip? must be 45 this year?

Dino, hows the young island team shaping up this season? who will be the keeper? i thought the goalie last year was pretty handy

Callum Flaws to Caversham, been offered some decent coin i hear

In response to Blanche, Haven't heard anything that makes me think they will be stronger, Rod? is meant to be the coach.. Could still be the busiest keeper in the league
On a positive note the Seniors should have 7 mens teams and maybe 3 womens teams.. Juniors are looking to be larger than last year.

Ex NZ under 17 player Stephen Kibby, who is down for uni has stated he is playing for mosgiel. He said he was going to go to northern but he must of met up with some mosgelians and changed his mind. He is a centre mid and if he decides to play seriously will be hands down the best CM in the league
