Saw young scallywag Mark Currie out doing some running around the Pine Hill area the other night.

Good work Currie!

Heard Malcy might be using funds made available from Callum Flaws' departure (2-3k) to entice some cavvy players?

Ex NZ under 17 player Stephen Kibby, who is down for uni has stated he is playing for mosgiel. He said he was going to go to northern but he must of met up with some mosgelians and changed his mind. He is a centre mid and if he decides to play seriously will be hands down the best CM in the league

" if he decides to play seriously"

that says it all, seen this joker play a game in the central league for the naki, he's a hippy! Best Cm in the league, don't think Darren Overton would think so

Callum Flaws to Caversham, been offered some decent coin i hear

Caversham won't have paid this muppet? the Tech goalie from last year was higher up the pecking order than him at Otago Utd? if they have paid him, i'd hate to know what Overton is worth!

Thats alot of money for such a small club ?? , After reading the article they clearly pay there players ,

Is that the total money from grants from this club or is that just the coaching portion ??

Rather extravagant costs to coach a SPL team don't you think?

Where are these figures from?

Caversham haven't spent this much

Southland Football have two full timers in Kenny (Mr Charisma) and Barry (Badger)..
Spent 26k on Spirit expenses in 2009 plus 17k for vehicle..

Not sure whether the ILT ever have received value from one of there appointments..

Haven't been impressed with Barry so far, Cresswell did ok in his first stint back in the mid to late 90s

Kenny is a third timer, Ive never been impressed with his contribution to Southern Football, John Herdman did more in his short time than anything Mr Charisma has done.

Badger is a good player, could be a good coach but not both..

Things must be grim for some clubs this year, heard a certain premier league side had to have a sausage sizzle to raise the deposit for the premier league , the deposit was only $ 300 , thats a lot of bangers to sell for the $ 2900 entry fee ,

Does anyone out there know what the entry fee actually covers ???

Predictions for league winners this year? Tech and Cavvy looking alot thinner than last year at this stage. Mosgiel and Roslyn looking like title contenders. Malcolm 'i will coach anywhere for cash' Flemings side are terrible this year after hearing so much about them rebuilding this season.

Praise the Lord Sean Brands gone.
