I hear scout Kindley has picked up half a dozen new signings over the off season and there are about 12 all up? Would be interesting to see a comparison between the tech and mosgiel possible line ups for round three? Could be a real indicator for whether Mosgiel have it in them to push for top spot

Talking to Jesse Wright and he said Mosgiels will be something like

                                 Zane Green

Jesse Wright   Tom Cairns   Michael Bu   Hamish Cotter

Morgan Day    Eder Franchinni   Rahan Ali

Cody Brook      Regan Coldicott     Isaac Snell

Bench: Riley Anderton

            Matt Kelly

            Tom Bekkers

            Aaron Corkhill

I can't see Kelly, Bekkers and Corkhill sticking around if they are warming the bench.

       Zane Green

Jesse Wright   Tom Cairns   Michael Bu   Hamish Cotter

Morgan Day    Eder Franchinni   Rahan Ali

Cody Brook     Regan Coldicott     Isaac Snell

Bench: Riley Anderton

            Matt Kelly

            Tom Bekkers

            Aaron Corkhill

Only 2 decent and 1 half decent players in that team...not much of a threat IMO

Agreed DM, only threats are the Chilean and Mr. Coldicott! Otherwise it's just same old Mosgiel, still an extremely average backline.

That lineup has less threat than green island. Cmon. You really think that backline will be able to defend top strikers in the league...pfft.

Haha mole, Lydia and superstar check in to Wakari.. Good to see tech and cavvy as cringe, arrogant and obnoxious as ever. Rest assured the Plainsmen are ready to hit f'ing hard. Keep up the good work guys :)

You are in dreamland there! Mosgiel haven't got the fight, as soon as they concede those young heads will drop and will be game over. Tech 4-1 win in the 3rd round.

Don't get that mixed up with a winning mentality

Winning mentality - where the hell did it go during the summer - especially seeing as 90% of the Southern United side were Tech and Cavvy. No disrespect intended but sh** talking, glass houses and all that. This forum is almost as bad as the Northern League Forum.. I think it will be an exciting season from what I see - time to challenge the status quo. I'm looking forward to it all kicking off - I have no perspective yet - so will be interesting.

Not long till the season starts! Who do you think will be the first upset(s) of the round?

I'm going Varsity to pick off Roslyn first game in, and then them again to upset with a draw against Mosgiel in Rd 2!

VERY EXCITED FOR EASTER FRIDAY!

Don't think the onions can upset Cavvy, but they can definitely pull off a few upsets.

Keeping hold of Ben Kiore and Cam McPhail is a good start, Meglinski is in the mix, so to is Mat Mitchell,  as well as a few younger boys looking to get involved

I think Mosgiel will score plenty in their first game and be top of the table.

Tech will win their early games.

Same with Cavvy.

Uni lost to Northern last week didn't they?

Green Island to do OK early.

Milk Cup will beat Northern whenever that game is on.

The onions do have a very young team and have a few S.U youth players could be very strong in a couple of years

Mosgiel may be strong and chance to win league

Cavy to rely on T Jackson and tech with McCormick and Rickerby to score

Looks like FootballSouth are bending over backwards for Mosgiel, they were granted their wish of having the bye for the first game, apparently they have some players away (not that all the others don't)

is Tracey Flett still playing for Mosgiel these days?

Probably still servicing Brookside & Morgy , wouldnt surprise me if Eder was in there aswell.

Everyone who plays football in dunedin does it for the love of the game, after all there is no financial reward for playing. Let's not take anything away from any of the players or teams in the league by becoming keyboard warriors, no one benefits from it. Back yourself and especially back your team but respect that players from elsewhere will do the same. Make your judgements on other players and teams after you have seen them play a few times first hand, after all it is a brand new season and the stage is their for any player to establish themselves on.

Football is about respect

Mosgiel AFC Seniors

A few words from our Prems Coach - Andrew Brook!!

After a reasonable season in 2014 finishing 4th, we reveiwed our stenghths and weeknesess.

One thing we found was we had conceded more goals than we had scored.
Using this as the catalist for our overall preformances we decided it was important to strenghthen our defence.
We recruted well and added some quality players in this area.

Coming in is Tom Cairns ( Queenstown Rovers ), Michael Bu ( Cashmere Tech ) and stepping up is a couple of qualty youngsters in Tom Kindley and Hamish Cotter.

Also having struggled with depth when hit by injuries it was important to look at other areas
We recruted quality in Isaac Snell ( Glenfield Rovers ), Ifane ( Varsity ) both of whom have large amounts of flair and the ability to play in either the midfield or up front.

Last but by no means least was the capturing of signatures from Zane Green ( Bay Olympic ), and Eder Franchini (Chille )
Zane has experiance to burn and will take over as Captain for the season, passing on his experiance to the youngsters we have in the side.

Eder has already shown his quality during the National League Season, having picked up an injury that he has now recovered from I beleive the best of his ability is still to come.

With South American flair , and a range of of skills to match he will surley be the ROCKSTAR of the premier league.
We are looking forward to 2015 and welcome all our new players and wish them all the best.

Cheers Andy
