Latest word from a very trusting source is Tom Jackson to O-League. Keep an eye out for who's interested!

Over Gwyther and Smith? With Corrales and Ifill there as well? Sure he'd be fine as a 5th wheel.

I personally have never understood the hype around Smith, apart from his old boy being Ian.

Curtis Day and former Green Island centre back Euan Kyle have just put pen to paper for Dunedin Tech for the upcoming season. Welcome.

From what I've seen he's better than ACFC's central strikers. However, has anyone actually seen a goal come from one if his long throws? They're impressive but ineffectual every time I've seen him play.

That's because SU have very few players capable of scoring anyway then take the main man out taking the throw.

They need an Andy Grey esk header of a ball under Jacksons throws could bag a handfull in a season no problem.

I know one if Fridge wants one and would make a good side kick with Matt Joy at the back as well.

He's not second top goal scorer in the league for nothing. He would be top had Boyd not scored 4 against Southern in one game.
@Oska - you clearly didn't watch the game at the weekend... Goal / Penalty / Red card came from a long throw.

I did, but from memory it wasn't direct from the throw and Wanderers fell asleep at the back post. The throws just seem far easier for keepers to claim than for anyone to attack.

well no keeper has been able to catch more than one throw in a game this season

Decent article, Andy seems to be full of confidence. So they should be, great mix of experience and youth. Regan will be back too, along with an extra 10kg of luggage from his travels....

Also, Moley tells me that although Mosgiel lost Abbott, they have gained "The new Abbo"..

Jesse Wright.

Another spot kick given up by SU In 2-1 defeat. Best part of season is that Canterbury Dragons almost as bad as SU without a penalty a game game plan.

Tom Stevens to roslyn

Tom kindly put in a good shift in the pre season against Roslyn today. Looked composed and relaxed on the ball. Should see him playing a few good minutes this season for the plainsmen. Also good to be on fever. Looking forward to the season starting up. #tkbandwagon

Mosgiel midfield and attack looked potent against a very average Roslyn side today, four goals could have been eight,

Early days - gelling very nicely though.

Mosgiel will have the best midfield in the Comp by a country mile this year

Eder Franchinni

Morgan Day

Matt Kelly

Isaac Snell

Rahan Ali

The bench will be better than most teams starting midfields

just received news that Tom "the tank" Kindley has broken his wrist from an Attwood pile driver in yesterday's pre season match. All the chat through the plainsmen will be coming from the stand for 6 weeks. Get better soon tom. #tkbandwagon

Who the **** is Tom Kindley?

Great to see Tech back in the National League over the summer, been calling for a return to the club based format for years.

Back to the important stuff.

Has Howard still got that rediculous looking top knot going on?

Jesse Wrights sidekick, Mosgiel fanatics, also a fullback. Thinks that you can play football with a slice of strength and speed and has the touch of Hagrid. Also fancies the plainsmen a chance of taking both leagues this year, HA!

It appears he has lost the top knot yet unbelievably gained more arrogance from being torn apart week in week out by quality wingers in the national league

I hear scout Kindley has picked up half a dozen new signings over the off season and there are about 12 all up? Would be interesting to see a comparison between the tech and mosgiel possible line ups for round three? Could be a real indicator for whether Mosgiel have it in them to push for top spot

Talking to Jesse Wright and he said Mosgiels will be something like

                                 Zane Green

Jesse Wright   Tom Cairns   Michael Bu   Hamish Cotter

Morgan Day    Eder Franchinni   Rahan Ali

Cody Brook      Regan Coldicott     Isaac Snell

Bench: Riley Anderton

            Matt Kelly

            Tom Bekkers

            Aaron Corkhill

I can't see Kelly, Bekkers and Corkhill sticking around if they are warming the bench.
