After today's results Nomads cannot finish bottom and only Coastal and the Royals can catch Technical.

FC now need to at least two wins to avoid the drop, assuming Green Island and Selwyn do not pick up any more points, FC final three games are away to Bays then United at home and are away to Suburbs in final round. FC have now failed to score in 10 of their 15 games., with the next worst at failing to score are Coastal, Bays and Selwyn - all with four.

After today's results ChCh United and Cashmere Technical confirmed as the Southern League qualifiers for the National League and while mathematically FC can still avoid the drop, they will need a minimum of 4 points, plus turn around their present - 15 goal difference and hope Selwyn do not pick up any more points. Selwyn's final two games are Coastal (Away) and Nomads (Home) with FC - United (Home) and Suburbs (Away).

So UC Football have won the Mainland Premiership - does this mean they'll playoff for promotion or will they have the same regulations issues that OU had last year? Or will it be someone lower down - Waimak/Halswell? Be concerned for either going up given they're both behind Cashmere and Nomads reserve teams...

FC Nelson also won the Nelson Bays league but not sure if going for promotion. Last years winner Rangers Blenheim didn't.

Is it true the Dunedin City Royals are under investigation for falsifying team cards? Some ex Southern Football guy with a B license now on their bench for the last couple of games of the season, but apparently they haven't had a B licensed coach all season.

Does anyone if there is a list of current coaches with B Licence plying their trade in NZ.

Well so far no reaction to TrentAA post.

From what I have seen this season there have been a few breach's of the regulations that cover the Southern League / National without any action appearing to have taken, for games in and around Christchurch.

For example:
1) pitches not fully marked or incorrectly marked
2) yet to see a qualified registered electrician at any game played under floodlights
3) at least one game played which had a change of venue were changing rooms for players and officials did not meet the regs
4) no ball persons on hand
5) a lack of a scoreboard at several games

I agree that some of these are minor and not likely to affect the result of the game but are covered in the regs.

The regs also cover what happens if there has been a breach with the club concerned having to be advised in writing of what needs to be done to resolve the issue with time allowed to achieve this.

Would love a review. 2 sets of goals were a minute apart, did they give it away from the kickoff? I was at an 11-1 Coastal win over Queenstown a few years ago which was mental, I can't imagine what today was like. Were there no goalkeepers?

First 25 minutes was just one big Christchurch United goal glut. Game was a bit topsy-turvy after that, it felt like GI had settled them down but then another big goal glut around the hour mark and pushed the score to double digits, then was a bit more back and forth after that.

Funnily enough GI were actually pretty decent going forward and forced some good saves, they definitely deserved some goals. Defensively... I think the scoreline illustrates that.
