Are we getting the Team Wellington cheer squad back together?

We can sing such classics as.

I've got a song, wont take long,
You can't speak english,
Second verse, same as the first,
You can't speak english.

Or..

Gimme a E!
Gimme a S!
Gimme a O!
Gimme a L!
What does it spell?!
ESOL!
You all practice ESOL,
You all practice ESOL,
Na na na na
Na na na na.

Or...

We've never been to Red Square,
We've never been to Red Square.

Or this, which needs to be fixed, its a bit of a tongue twister.

Ricky Herbert's magic,
He wears a magic hat,
He heard about the world cup,
And said "I'm coaching that"
He signed up half the Phoenix, That guy from Perth Glory,
And one night Mully called him,
Rick said " I thought I got rid of you and told me never to call me or my family again, now stop calling me for f**k's sake and get lost you c**t"

That, my son, is absolute pure genius. I must buy you a beer next time I see you.

There will be a bus from Four Kings to Newtown Park at 12.30pm on Sunday. The same bus will depart from Newtown Park for the Backbencher at 3pm.

Limited spaces so get in fast.

Or you can all just wander down to the Ed Bar in Newtown for a decent pint of Real Ale !!

The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

Or you can suggest going to average bars in a sh*t part of town and drink terrible home brew.

Whoops!
Someone already suggested it.

Still strong looking team.

great game today shame more people were not watching. Good to see our lads giving the Dorklanders a curry up. Are they (Ak) lucky or what. One day, when we get a referee with balls we might get a fair result. How inconsistent was the ref today? Vicelich should take a lotto ticket, a decent ref would have sent him off for that second tackle, a certain yellow just like the first.
Is this what its like for all the teams when they play against Ak.

The little sh*t who was Ref today was a joke.
City were lucky to get away with a draw and 11 players on the field at the end.
Ivan the terrible : Was funny seeing him complaining to Galbraith after getting bumped off a ball.

What was Zucco like. Does he have the potential to be an A League player for those that were there?

Auckland City out of form, Phoenix in form. A lot of anti-depressants being prescribed up north at the moment.

Spoonley was woeful too. Almost chucked one in before the defender cleared it off the line and ran under one that he finger tipped for a corner before the ref bizzarly called back for a foul on the keeper. Ref must have assumed spoonley was too good to make that sort of calamity or something

So ACFC were terrible all over the park yet you still only managed a draw against them, and you were at home.

Says it all.

Three for me, and two for them.

It's football. But I have to say that for all the talk coming from the knitting circle on how good ACFC were, they were decidedly average.

Just saying for the fifth best team in the world/best in australasia they did their very best to lose it.

And because Barcelona drew with a team in the relegation zone on the weekend  it doesn't make them the best team in the world anymore? muppet.

Wellington will not come close this year.

Auckland are playing poorly but will still win it which will show how bad summer football is in this country.

But in all fairness, there was talk you guys would dominate in Australia because you guys beat CCM who are one of the better sides so which way do you want it? That makes Waikato and TW as good at ACFC by that logic...

That's doesn't put aside that you are right about the quality of the Premiership this year.

Zucco had a quiet game.....I guess it may take him a game or two to settle into the team. He looks like a finisher rather than a creator. Jogs about quite a bit waiting for play to come to him. Looked composed and layed the balloff well with a single touch but he needs to get more involved.
Too early to say about his A-League potential...he will probably get a hatrick against in his next TW game

Less Miramarey and I suspect less Miramar in jokes over the p.a

Need to get a big crowd to Newtown Park Sunday. At least double the last game at Newtown to justify the extra work for the Volunteers in setup, strip-down and missing start of Nix game.

Yes a big ups to the volunteers who worked frantically to get everything packed up at Newtown Park last week and missed the start of the Nix game.

There's an extra half hour up our sleeves this weekend though and it should be a real humdinger between Exodus TW and Canterbury this Sunday at 1pm - it'll be a great way to warm up for the Nix v Roar at 5pm at the Stadium.

Congrats to Matt Calcott also - ASB Premiership Coach of the Month for January.Gilly2012-02-09 10:38:12

I seriously cannot believe he is 22. I thought he was a similar age to Wiremu. I see he made the U-23 squad though, well done
