The late save from Imray was brilliant, it was a great shot and took an incredible save to tip it around and over the post.

Not to mention his two other superb reaction saves earlier.

I was trying to make an entrance and I missed the first half and thus the goal =( I was unfashionably late, but managed to see the 2nd half kick off by running from Newtown shops. We should have put another goal in.

A number of missed chances in the game, thought TW could have been 2 or 3 up, but then Auckland could have had a few if not for some great work from Imray.

Would have been great to take a 2 goal lead into the second leg, the job would be made much easier.

I did love the group of kids (I think they were the Tornado's) who were making fun of the constant 'COME ON CITY' from the two ACFC fans standing up the back.

2B wasn't sitting with them but I have no doubt his influence on them was displayed.

He was with them briefly in the first half I think, probably disassociated himself after telling them what to say.

Great result for TW. Typical finals footie, but we took our chance and they didn't. All the best for next week in the big smoke Matt and the team. And go Canterbury also, I'm crossing fingers for a TW Canterbury final and an end to that big smoke dominance of the NZFC.

Tricky.  Most of us playing over the weekend and (in my case) trying to get back in her indoors good books after a summer of TeeDubs and Phoenix.

Looking forward to this Sunday. TW supporters, do you think Wellington will advance to the final?

If we'd grabbed a second (and we had chances) I'd think it might be slightly in TeeDubs favour but with only 1 goal it will be trickier.

I reckon 70/30 in Auckland's favour (That would be the split if I was setting TAB odds).

At times.  They mix it up, but 10 men behind the ball is hard to justify with Lucas, Fa'arodo, both Rowe's, Justin Gulley and Patrick Fleming.

They naturally have an attacking mindset.

Play the game to open and TW could be in trouble

Force Exposito and Dickson deep (which they tend to do) you only have to keep Corrales in check
Maybe Hogg ranging wide on the left
These days 1 v 1 with Vicelich on the break is a good option

I thought the defensive line yesterday was very good. There were many occasions when ACFC had the chance to break, but the defence got behind the ball and either blocked the shot or forced AC to take a speculative shot, which Imray then saved easily.

They have been doing some interesting things in defence, with Eager Raj, Musa swapping in and out of the backline covering Rowe and Gulley and allowing any of them to push forward.  It looks almost like a 5 man unit with 4 of the 5 in the backline as required and the extra pushing in to midfield.

Hogg didn't get much yesterday once TeeDubs figured that Vicelich gets the ball, pulls right and then sends it diagonally forward to Hogg attacking  on the left.

Haven't seen much other footage of ASB Premiership games online except for Mainland Football's You Tube Channel which has both full games and highlights for every ASB game played in Christchurch from Canty v Team Wellington 27/11/11 onwards:

Index of all games here:

Canterbury Utd v Team Wellington 27/11/11 full game:

Team Wellington channel here on You Tube - but only highlights and not even every home game:

Only semi-regular Auckland City home footage on You Tube here- but last video put up is of Feb. 26 game:

GOAL for the TEE DUBS!!! Sounds like a howler from Mulligan, not enough on the backpass to the keeper and an easy goal.

ACFC need to score three goals to win now.
