Exodus Team Wellington has named their squad for the Fiji Airways OFC Champions League.
Team Wellington will face AS Tefana (Tahiti), Hekari United (Papa New Guinea) and Tafea FC (Vanuatu) as the 13th edition of the OFC Champions League kicks off on the 11 April in Fiji with 12 teams competing for Oceania's prestigious trophy and a spot at the next FIFA Club World Cup.
Team Wellington will be competing at the tournament for the first time. Head coach Matt Calcott has added strength to his squad by signing Waitakere United trio Jake Butler, Chris Bale and Alex Carr, Hawkes Bay United’s Sean Lovemore, Tom Jackson from Southern United and former Team Wellington player Justin Gulley. Aaron Scott from WaiBOP United who was a late season signing also bolsters the squad.
They join ‘keepers Michael O’Keeffe and Dan Clarke, defenders Bill Robertson, Ian Hogg, Tim Myers and Adam Cowan, midfielders Cole Peverley, Alex Feneridis, Mickael Partodikromo, and forwards Jarrod Smith, Michael Gwyther, Henry Fa’arodo and Luis Corrales.
