Thanks. Date night=no TW today. Researched Guersney football extensively yesterday though. I'd aready read about them in a FIFI WC book I think. Looking forward to seeing the new striker next time

4:30 at Jerry Collins Stadium in Porirua

Technically its Porirua Park. Only called Jerry Collins Stadium when rugby is being played at it.

Well done to TWs starting with 10 Kiwi's in the starting 11 pity a certain Auckland side doesn't have the same attitude to development of football in this country i hope it pays off for TW.

Match report anyone? Did Allen play?

I could only stay to half time but HBU looked the better side for most of it. I see Allen scored soon after coming on.

would have been interesting if that striker hadn’t pinged his hammy and gone off. Assume he carried it into the game

Pitch seemed spongy and not suited to football at all.

Suppose there's no chance of catching any highlights online is there?

Heard TW have slapped a 6 week stand down for Cole Pevs as he tried to move to Ak and was going to sign for ACFC....

Seems a bit harsh to stop the guy playing football...

Permalink Permalink

He would have contract lodged with NZF for a season with TW.

Could it be NZF regulation that apply the stand down by chance

as I understand it (which could be wrong) the standard stand down is 4 weeks, but clubs can agree to waive this. but why would TW (or ACFC for that matter) want to give any extra help to close rivals?

Same thing happened last year with Cam Howieson.

The stand down applies when a side "taps up" a player without current teams knowledge, which it seems Auckland are consistently doing.

B00l0cks there Patrick, the stand down occurs when any player moves between clubs in the ISPS

and as much as you want it to be true, ACFC didn't tap up Howieson last season

I'd say Watto to Tee Dubs would be most likely of the Premiership club's as they have OFC Champions League coming up, however with them picking up Ross Allen and then Jacko coming back from injury would be interesting to see how Jose would fit them all in.

Nah, can't see Watson going to TeeDubs. He will be going to either Tasman due to Ifill, Hawkes Bay as he has played their before or Auckland City since they lost De Vries so need a striker

Don't think any of the premier league teams will be looking for a "Line Breaker" ;<}

Does the 4 week stand down for pro players, going to an amateur league  apply to Wood.

Haven't seen talk anywhere which makes me think it doesn't as he hasn't got a pro contract like others but a special youth contract.
