im a bit worried benji might not satisfy the waitak fans. there were times last season (mainly towards the end when people realised he was good) where they got 2 men to mark him and he stopped playing so well. It took us half the season to realise that we had another bloke up front and waitak are probably smart enough to get Menapi to score as well, but I dont expect Benji to get golden boot again. Sure he'll grab a few but he wont get noticed for goals again this year. Menapi or Vakatalesau for golden boot.

Menapi came off the bench abit tho last year...might get the chance to start more often this year. They have lots of mint strikers.

yeah and they should get a few goals between them...its how yhm creamed teams by 5 or 6 goals last year. im thnking waitak are smart enough to work out how.

Yea buy a bunch of Solos. Dont know why haynes went there? He will warm the bench most of the year. Played in his 3rd form team. He scored like 90 goals but its not the same when you are plying the big boys. Much like prince.

How are roydhouse and the other young fellas going?

Roydhouse has had a few opportunities on the wing, Quansar has started a few times ahead of him, no idea why as Quansar is complete rubbish, especially compared to Roydhouse. Tim Richardson has been good as usual, carrying on from some good form last season. Haven't seen much of Chettleburgh yet I don't think, hasn't been away overseas having trials or something?

ah yes, Robsons been quality too. I'm useless with recognising players on the pitch though (except with Richardson and Roydhouse!) and I never seem to pick up on Robson all that much. Must make a  better effort.

Wouldn't be suprised if one of the Youngheart young guns gets to the Phoenix at some point, got a few very talented players.

can't bring myself to get a green frenzy top, seems to me to be so blatantly copied off yellow fever, which makes it a little to naff for me.

We got permission in the end and I think it looks good. Yeah design is copied but I think thats good in some ways, sort of links up all the football in the country. Be very interesting if all the clubs in the NZFC did one, Retro Phelans, Retro Tuaa...

I'd say Robinson could make the squad if he was fit enough and playing well, he never puts a foot wrong, but hes 30 now so unlikely to get a look in I'd say. Roydhouse is one for the future and in 5 years maybe he could be A-league level if he keeps progressing well. Michael Utting ofcourse played for the Kingz or Knights one of them, hes getting on now but he was a class act and still is so maybe 2nd choice keeper? I want him here though!

Gonna have to agree with DarthRich there. I want to support the Frenzy but it's such a copy. I'll sit with them and all, but yeah. Couldn't they have done something different....Flags? Scarves? Or even, a T-shirt with no 'Retro' or anything like that. Still a member of the Green Frenzy though!

Utting playing for Nix? Doubt it. Hugely. Not only is he getting on (same for Robbo) but he's one of the worst keepers statistically in the league. I think if ANY youngheart players will make the Phoenix it would have to be one of the young guys who are developing, and it sounds like Chettleburgh is the best one we have.

Forgetting that Steven Old, Campbell Banks played for YH and have played for the Knights/Phoenix.

Well bare in mind Joe that Utting did actually play  with Kingz/Knights. He might not be up to it anymore but he certainly once was. He's 37 now so you can't blame him really.

Frenzy were only starting out. I'll put it forward to them to get something more original done for next season but for now I think its ok and they have done alot of work otherwise. Really its the only thing they've copied off the Phoenix (most of the chants are pretty original, or chants the Phoenix in turn stole!) and I think we should appreciate them for organizing all this stuff, rather than just dwelling over 1 shirt design.

for all of the hatred I feel towards Totori, that was one of the best solo efforts i've seen in the NZFC for that 4th goal.

On the Green Frenzy thing, "Green Zone", the tshirts, all that stuff, it just seems a copy. Even the name. Dont get me wrong, I'm supporting it and all, I just think its a bit of a copy. thats all!

That videos the 5-0 thrashing of TW, but yeah the earlier game in 2006, it was 1-all.
