Is Gyokeres still worth a look or has that ship sailed?

Three for me, and two for them.

I think his pricetag out him in the same pool as the others but not playing at the same/similar quality league counts against him.

I think it’ll be him or Sesko as the main man. I just wonder if there’s a smart second signing to follow like Delap.

What a result for the women in the CL quarter final. 3-0 over Real Madrid after losing the away leg 2-0. Through to the semi final against Lyon. Hopefully a sign of things to come against Real!

Stunning second half by the women this morning. Was inches away from scoring 5 or 6.
Yea agreed, hope the men can replicate that!

Lovely finishes from Russo. Oh what can happen when you have a centre forward.....

Gah. Gabriel off early with a hamstring injury. Hope it's nothing major considering what we have coming up!

9 points behind. If Everton can take a win tomorrow I’ll start feeling hope again.

Especially as we have them on the weekend. They could easily get dicked by Liverpool and then give us a difficult draw.

It's a derby though innit, could go either way irrespective of league form.

So good to see Saka score on his return.

My god we have missed him the past few months.

Happy 53rd St Totteringham's Day all. This must be one of the earliest I can think of in my time. First week of April, mate.

Gabriel gone for the season. Timber, white and calafirori injured or returning from injury. Expect kiwior to partner saliba on the weekend and then hope our Italian stallion is back to partner him against Madrid.
Also add that I'm guessing we will see partey at RB,which never goes well for us. Maybe we should consider playing merino there....

I'm sure one of Timber or White will be fit enough for Madrid. It does now make that game a much tougher game. However, maybe Kiwior will use his chance to string a run of decent performances together to get a move in the summer for more minutes.

Made even more enjoyable by the fact the current Tottenham manager probably hates his own fans more than we do.

I work with an Arsenal supporter and with a Tottenham supporter, so it was quite fun stirring the pot yesterday.

Don't know how MLS getting pulled down by the Everton player was a penalty for Everton but I guess that's just the standard of English referees and VAR these days

I hate it so much that I predicted this!
That pen decision was horrible. Maybe there was a foul but it occurred outside the box. Attacekr went down well after MLS did and he went down all by himself, any contact was well before he began stumbling!

Real lost at home to Valencia this morning, a team that has been fighting relegation all season.

These lot aren't nearly as good as they think they are. I think any intimidation in facing them comes from their incredible pedigree in Europe, particularly in the past 10 years.

We are more than capable of beating them, even with Gabriel out.

Realistically there's no chance with Gabriel out.  Can't see any scenario where we don't just get fudgeed somehow if the tie is still in the balance in the 2nd leg. But it's the type of glamour tie that doesn't come around very often so let's just try and enjoy these last 2 meaningful games of the season.

Kiwior picked up MOTM yesterday, and my only critique of him was in the build up to the penalty not going to the ball and clearing it - can't leave those for your full back. He's a Polish international and well experienced. He could do a job for us, much more so than back up defenders at the beginning of Arteta's reign i.e. Holding, Chambers, Soares.

They’ve also conceded 6 goals in their last 2 games so hardly a defensive machine at the moment.

We have Saka back we can put a few past them.

thing is, these jokers can be 4-0 down with 5 minutes left in the tie & end up winning 5-4

Feature on arsenal.com on Lee Dixon's testimonial against Real Madrid in 1999. A special memory for me as it was my first (and only) live game at Highbury, on a trip back to England to see my Grandparents when I was 13. I also got to do the stadium tour with my Grandfather, and went to a CL game at Wembley against Fiorentina (the night before my birthday and sadly we lost and got knocked out of the competition). My Grandparents lived walking distance from Wembley Stadium and were able to get some tickets that were offered to local residents.

Pretty good game this first half. Very open but I feel like we are sharing it in terms of game control. Saka has been making hay down the right. Just need someone on the end of his flat crosses

An iconic memorable night at the Emirates. These are the type of games and results you dream about. Certainly beyond my wildest dreams. I genuinely didn’t see any chance against them though do realise it’s only half time and we still have to go there. But to be in a position where we can go there and lose 2-0 and go through feels like dreamland.

Just unbelievable how much we dominated and battered them in that second half. It could have been more. Vinicius, Bellingham and Mbappe all anonymous.

Those 2 free kicks are genuinely the 2 best free kick hits I think I’ve ever seen. The power, the swerve, how far out they were, the occasion, the opposition, who the keeper was. The only other one that immediately sprang to mind for the quality as well as the moment was Beckham vs Greece. The Roberto Carlos swerver will be referenced given he played for Real but that was in a friendly. Before the first one I even said out loud to myself “it would have be something pretty special to beat Courtois from there.” For someone who is not a goal scorer, how may big iconic moments in big games is that in 2 seasons for him now?

That second one you could have had 2 keepers and the whole team on the goal line and still noone gets near it.  It couldn't be more perfect.

It's honestly one of the best goals ever scored by an Arsenal player.  Will still be talked about in 20 years like we still talk about Henry vs the same opposition.

Imagine waking up today and realising yesterday actually happened.

Yes it's only a quarter final 1st leg and it will probably still ultimately end without a trophy but it feels like the sort of monumental result we haven't had for nearly 2 decades. Certainly a long time since I've felt as emotional anyway.
