If that's the criteria for a red card you'd be sent every game.

Three for me, and two for them.

I've never seen this thread so busy. Good job we have AFC, MUFC and LFC fans to keep it going

Three for me, and two for them.

It only ever gets busy in here when we lose. But am still feeling confident about the premier league. Gutted to lose. But with psg down to 10 men we can only blame ourselves. Maybe next year

Well that pretty much gives us the title. If we lose from here it will be embarrassing.

Am stoked we have won the prem league (would be a monumental collapse from here, Americas cup like even). But do wish it was kind of closer. Although we have been good this season I think we have made to look better by other teams not performing this year.

Sydney was brilliant, great build up from the NZ, Sydney, Adelaide, and Melbourne CFC Supporters groups at the Aurora Hotel leading up to the game.

Broke as now but really enjoyed it

So we've signed Falcao on a loan. Will be interesting to see if Jose can get more out of him than van gaal could. Used to play with Costa at Atletico too

He will get more out of him as he was still injured when he came to us and you could tell by his movement that he was not 100%.

It was in the last few weeks that you could see the improvement.

The former Chelsea and England striker Kerry Dixon has been jailed for nine months after being found guilty of assault.

Dixon, who scored 147 goals for Chelsea, was sentenced on Friday at Luton crown court for attacking a man in a pub.

Jailing the 53-year-old, Judge Barbara Mensah said the attack was “shocking and sickening to watch”. The judge said the violence was “disproportionate, unnecessary and completely over the top”.

Dixon had denied attacking a fellow drinker who had been sitting on a bar stool in the Nags Head pub in Dunstable in Bedfordshire.

The assault on the 38-year-old father-of-two Ben Scoble in the early hours of 15 May last year, was caught on CCTV. Mr Scoble, a builder, was punched off the stool and then subjected to a flurry of blows while on the floor.

The judge said the shocking footage showed how Mr Dixon launched at attack “out of the blue”, which had drawn “a gasp” from jurors when first played to the court during his trial last week.

“You were not just striking him, knocking him off his bar stool, but continuing to strike him when he was on the ground,” she said. “Then you continued to pummel him on the ground.”

Dixon, who played for Luton Town, Reading, Southampton, Millwall, and Doncaster Rovers, and earned eight caps for England, had pleaded not guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He alleged he had acted in self-defence, However Dixon, from Dunstable, was convicted by a jury after a five-day hearing with the judge describing the attack as “completely unprovoked”.

Tough call last night for a red and a pen. I think they were both close but still a tough one. Still don't think we did enough to deserve the win regardless

Contact looked a few inches outside the box but would have been hard to tell for ref or linesman.

Looked like he was trying to pull out and a defender was coming to cover as well. But it's a hard one to call from ref so can understand how he made a mistake.

I thought it looked inside the box, but you could definitely argue a yellow with the defender coming back and the ball pushed away from goal

He was last man so red card was right.

Not sure about that, the ball was heading away from goal, and Cahill was there to collect.

Cortois did not deny a clear goal scoring opportunity. Was outside of the box, but would have been impossible for the ref to see.

Pretend Courtois is back on his line and that Cahill took him out. Even in this situation Cahill has denied a clear goal scoring opportunity. Neverlone the real situation, which has the striker is an even better situation with the keeper of his line. Of course it is a clear goal scoring oppurtunity.

This season could have started a lot better but am confident we can turn it around.

Really didn't look good at the back and we didn't really look that good on attack either. A little worrying but guess it's to do with our short preseason?

Got Arsenal next week.

Yep it has and as much as Mourinho blames other things we actually deserve to be where we are on form. We are terrible at the back and don't really look to have the cutting edge in the front 3rd either

if Newcastle win you'll be in the drop zone.

No one picked Chelsea to start this bad.

All signs point to yo beating Arsenal now :(

Now really starting to worry. How long do bad results get put down to form? We haven't looked good at the back yet this season. We seem to rely heavily on hazard to do everything for us and if he isn't playing well the rest of the team has no ideas. Hoping we can turn it around and still compete, but something needs to happen soon

Struggling to find positives this season but we are sure to turn it around sometime soon. Maybe this will get all the fake fans off to another team again. That could be a positive. Chelsea and phoenix till I die

When you are not winning all the time, it makes victory much more enjoyable than when it is expected. Jose is right.
