Sh1tty result but from what I read we were lucky to keep it to two. We'll have to stuff them at Goodison now.

Its no longer a problem.

it was always going to be hard that game, we're typically english when it comes to playing none of that continental flair  the italians and spanish have which never helps
still lets stuff em 3-0 at home next week on a wind blown rain soaked goodison park see how they like it then

LIVERPOOL (AFP) Everton striker James Vaughan looks set to be sidelined for the remainder of the season after suffering a knee injury while training ahead of the UEFA Cup defeat to Fiorentina.
The 19-year-old has been flown to America to see renowned knee specialist Dr Richard Steadman.
"The knee just locked a couple of times in training and it is terrible luck for the boy," said Toffees manager David Moyes.
Vaughan has suffered a string of injury problems since becoming the Premier League's youngest goalscorer with a debut goal against Crystal Palace.
As well as knee injuries he has missed large parts of the current season with a dislocated shoulder.
"We don't know yet whether it is the same problem as before but it is the same knee," said Moyes.
"We decided he should have the operation now rather than wait until the end of the season and he has to be a doubt for the rest of the campaign."

That tackle wasn't to dissimilar to the one the ended Eduardo's season yet no one has said boo about it. Could be that Everton fans do cry like Arse fans and that no one cares about Sunderland players cause they're sh1t anyway.

Its no longer a problem.

I saw that tackle on the replay, it was worse than the one that f**ked up eduardo. Did he get a card for it, coz if he didnt the FA should step in and suspend him.

it is going to be tough but this is some good news anyway  exert from toffeeweb

Fiorentina meanwhile are still without Adrian Mutu and also lost striker N'Diaye Papa Waigo at the weekend when he limped out of La Viola's 1-0 defeat to Siena.

but as i'm sure you'll agree it goes on to comment

The Blues clearly have a mountain to climb and not having an away goal may be the biggest obstacle of all to overcome. It means that they have to go out and look to score goals but can't be too gung-ho for fear of conceding at the other end.

But it's by no means an impossible task and a full Goodison, a vibrant start, and perhaps an early goal could really set the cat among the pigeons. There have been suggestions also from one contributor to our MailBag that Fiorentina are prone to caving in to pressure so if Moyes can put the emphasis on sustained attacks while keeing it tight at the back, then everything is to play for.
