I'm feeling the love even though it's the Yellow Fever Derby

Hehe not too much love i hope. In fairness though it's probably the fixture with the most interest on here outside of any Nix or AWs matches. HUGE game in the scope of this season too.

I am a black hole to your love! ...at least until approx 10:35am... and pending the result...

I've got a meeting from 9-11 today........

By all accounts here and on other websites, it wasn't a bad display by us. Hopefully that's a positive sign for the rest of the season and we can hold of citeh and finish fourth. BBC had some discussion about a handball? Massive game for us against City this weekend. Sounds like we really need a second striker too. Come on boys. Tyler2010-02-11 12:43:15

Haven't even seen the match as I WAS OUT ALL DAY/ AFTERNOON/ EVENING. A legit reason not to be on YF. But sounds like we were pretty unlucky. To be honest, I was mentally prepared for the defeat and it was only the constant updates of scores "0-0 20 mins" etc that really killed me. Not too f**ked off though, as I thought we'd probably lose. Glad to see we played alright. Terrible defending on the goal. More analysis when I've actually seen the game. City away is f**king huge. Do we have Europa League next Friday?

Right. I'm away at school camp for the next week. But we do play Europa League on Friday- Unirea at home. Maxi is cup-tied, and Torres is targeting a return for the City game! Lets get a good result against Unirea first. Strong enough team is needed; really don't think we can afford to rest too many players for the City game. Aquilani should start.

Who's gonna be watching the game tomorrow, got work so someone want to give a quick match report on here.
Permalink Permalink

Hoping to catch at least the first half. Half time report should be something along the lines of "It's in the bag."

Reina, Carragher, Skrtel, Agger, Aurelio, Mascherano, Aquilani, Kuyt, Gerrard, Riera, Ngog.

Subs: Cavalieri, Kyrgiakos, Babel, Lucas, Insua, Degen, Pacheco.

Good to see Aquaman get a start for once. Thought Soto might have been a starter...

I'm only catching glimpses at the mo but it looks like Unirea have their backs against the wall. Must be about a million shots on goal but nothing in the net...

Sweet, we won a game in Europe! Didn't see any of the second half tho...

Brilliant little header from Pacheco, that. Good to get a win, although sounds like we largely struggled to break them down. Job not quite done, but no away goal is good to see.

City on Monday (?)- MASSIVE.

Anyone see the game? Sounds like it was a bit drab... Happy to come away with a point but we really need 3's at the mo.

You defended really well. They bottled it up front.

Three for me, and two for them.

Torres back....let's hope for a strong finish.

Yeah, poor game today. Not too many positives except maybe Skrtel playing well. Oh and Torres getting a run.

Yeah. Skrtel was immense. Good to see Torres get a run out. An expectedly poor game, with neither team wanting to lose. Europa League on Friday?

Yep, looks like Friday at 7am. We need a good win to keep the confidence up. Start sinking some of those shots and play positively. Can't really afford playing out for draws at this point of the season. Play to win.

Wouldn't mind a draw in European game, but I understand what you mean as the cliche goes "Winning is a habit"
Permalink Permalink
about 16 years ago · edited about 5 years ago · History
Just keep Torres fit. Then we will start winning! I think our run-in is slightly better than Spurs, Villa and City, although we need to start winning soon.

Oh crap, well it's even on aggregate. Who's the other commentator not Champion, he's a dick and has very little concept of football.

oooh nice goal by Mascherano.
Permalink Permalink

Happy with that. Wasn't pretty- never going to be. Take in a good lead at half time. Masch- brilliant! Good for Babel to score. Commentators = Twits. Especially towards zonal marking and Javier. Should be able to see this out now...
