A tad harsh...although think that was cos he was suspended! I thought he did well against Everton and was pretty unlucky to be sent. But ah well... Think we have City first, or is that after Real?

Manchester City next on the morning of Monday Feb 23rd our time.
Then Real on the morning of Thursday 26th our time.

Well, those 5 points are looking harder and harder to make up. By the time we play City, they could be 8 points clear. Absolutely essential we get the three points in the League, then we can get into f*cking the fascist scum.

Bugger, 12 games left and a 7 point gap...

Uphill battle from here, got to hope the Scum drop a few...

Tough from here alright, even if we beat them at Old Trafford.

Their run-in is...

Newcastle (away)

Liverpool (home)

Fulham (away)

Aston Villa (home)

Sunderland (away)

Wigan (away)

Portsmouth (home)

Tottenham (home)

Middlesbrough (away)

Man City (home)

Arsenal (home)

Hull (away)

Can't see them dropping seven points there.  Regardless, we have to win at Old Trafford to have any chance...

Villa, Arsenal and Man City - those aren't out of the question for them to drop points IMHO.

You would expect them to get three points on the other games though.

It also means we have to pretty much not lose from here...

Not losing is not the problem. Winning is.
Just can't see Man U making a mess of it from here.

Disappointing- oh the influence of Alonso and Gerrard in our team...

Why wouldnt City throw us the game, they dont want United to win another title either! Typical Hughes, ex-United...

Well, we had it coming; Rafa saying we had to win every game in the run-in, Real winning 6-1, it was clear that we would drop points cos we're Liverpool and we always do things the hard way! I won't give up until mathematically we're out of it, but now we REALLY need to win at Old Trafford...

Still, lets ruin the fascists next!

Hull to defeat Man U on the last day keeping them up and destroying manures chance of winning the title! Too many draws this season, still way better than last year though.

I think communism is as evil, maybe more evil, than fascism cos fascism is what it says- horrible. But I'd have fought for the Left rather than the fascists. I despise it.

They won the first 5 European Cups because of Franco's influence...Who was it who said Real Madrid was the best propaganda Franco ever had?

Anyway... Hopefully a club like Liverpool's with socialist values can crush the fascist Real!

As long as your arse points to the ground, Liverpool have no chance.

WOOOHHHOOO!! Yossi I'm sorry for doubting you for the last two years

Yossi has been in fine form recently and has more than deserved that goal. I'm a little late in posting cos I was watching the game over and over! Superb. Masch was absolute quality, Alonso was class (what about that shot?!), Benayoun was everywhere- I think he ran more than Kuyt!! Carra and Skrtel were solid and that was a perfect European away performance... And we scored off a set piece! On a negative side is Torres' injury. And also that absolute c*nt Pepe needs a right slap.

Uuuuuuggghh...

There goes any hope of the title. If we can't beat the bottom-feeders, we don't deserve it.

p.s. angers talking here, still love the lads.

Does anyone have a clue what Benitez is trying to do? His substitutions are a completely baffling. Why would you bring Lucas on (ever)? Why take Carragher off when it's Skrtel (who I rate at CB) who's having the 'mare (and why start Skrtel at RB when Jamie has shown he can do the job)?

I think Benitez is good for the club, but wonder what he's thinking at the moment.

Srktel was absolutely terrible, not sure why he wasn't either taken off or switched with Carragher. To be honest I am still not convinced he is our best option with Agger fit, Agger is much more assured on ball, technically better and better in terms of anticapation. I guess physically Srktel has the dominance. Still odd to see Hyypia in favour of Agger

El Zhar was a risk and didn't pay off, looked out of depth, missed a sitter aswell as Kuyt and many half chances went begging. I was happy to see Babel he looked better than most times this season, but ain't saying too much, he's only had a handful of good performances.

Nah - just trying to wind you all up about losing to them, but you've all risen above it.

Can't see anyone catching ManUre now - I'm just praying they don't do a Quadruple/Quintuple.

Well, I'll take the three from this morning, but so will Chelski and the Arse, and of course Scum still have the 2 games in hand.

Could get interesting if they drop any points in the next few rounds, but, if I'm being honest, I can't really see it happening.

That Boro game was sickening... It's like watching your dream slide away right in front of your eyes. Apparently Carra played CB because he said he was too tired to play right back. I dont have a problem with the fact he played Skrtel at right back, although I didnt think he's be able to turn quickly, but it was clearly not working. Why didnt he change it at half time? Agger has been injured. Babel is so frustrating. Bags of potential and no first touch and far too predictable. Still, I'll give him another 8 years for the joy that winner against the Mancs earlier this season gave me!

Happy with Sunderland. Ngog played really well, as did Dirk and Yossi. Insua is looking SO class... Bring on Real and then the Mancs!

manure wont win CL, Jose will beat them, manure wont win FA cup, Didier will beat them. also, they could still lose the league, i mean, they cant keep this up forever. theyre bound to drop some points
