Im seriously contemplating making Sheffield Wednesday my first team in england, because im just not finding this season enjoyable or entertaining, I would find more entertaining, maybe not enjoyable, if I supported a team facing relegation. Im starting a Sheffield Wednesday thread.

Go then? It's this funny thing called support.

Its always been either Sheffield Wednesday or Perennial strugglers Perennial strugglers Perennial strugglers Liverpool as my first team, but I still support Perennial strugglers Perennial strugglers Perennial strugglers Liverpool and I think I always will, ive got 5 shirts and 2 scarfs,. its just that letting Alonso go really got me p*ssed off at Rafa because Alonso was always was my favourite player and now I just have this sense of negativity whenever we play, but ive sort of gotten over it. Hopefully(just for you)I will get some more support into me.

You aren't a supporter. You're a plastic.

dont be to hard on the kid...

im a massive suppoter of ABU, if Perennial strugglers Liverpool dont win the title they are always my second favourite

Seriously, Torres kicking the spot like that was just plain stupid. He should have used a spade. There was no way Rooney could've twisted an ankle in that tiny divot...

as much as riera's attitude in this situation pisses me off, it was smart of him from his point of view.

his chances at Perennial strugglers Perennial strugglers Liverpool for the rest of the season were obviously guna be limited, with the resurgence of ryan bael and all, so he had to leave to get regular football for a chance at the world cup, and he wouldnt of got that if he had kept his quagmire looking ass quiet

LOL nah i got lots of mates from England who can't stand them either.

Mainly due to money situation! Esp. Perennial strugglers Perennial strugglers Liverpool fans because I think it's starting to hit home, that not getting 4th spot is disastrous.

But seriously you are chasing Ireland atm, he aint happy at City, lack of playing time, and new managers tactics.

lol...its all fun and games.

i wouldnt mind ireland in the team, he just seems to have fallen outa favour with mancini.

i rekon torres will stick around for one more season to see if any progress is made at the club. if we do as bad next season i wouldnt be bitter towrds him if he did leave then

Yeah! Wud b major boost if he does stay with you guys for another season!

U fink Rafa will keep his job though?
what you make of Gerrards form too? I'm bit worried, being from England, as he's pretty key for are WC squad!!
Permalink Permalink

i do think rafa will keep his. however i personally would not be dissapointed to see him go.

i wouldnt worry about Gerrard not being up for the WC, as he seems to be saving himself for it, by playing half arsed, looking disinterested for liver00l (after saying that he'll probly pull out some 30 yard screamer and put in a mom performance against sunderland)

torres is like the anti michael owen, we can be prety confident real madrid wont snap him up, i dont really see him going to another english club due to his relationship with the fans (dont under estimate it) and i doubt he'd want to waste away in serie a. probly the only club that could afford him where he wouldnt mind going i quess would be barca

This. Is my pet hate at the moment (like Babel was a little while ago).

Gerrard's performances have suprised me, usually he is consitent, and always steps it up when he needs too.

For England though he has always been inconsitent, never really cemented his place from his international performances, only from what he achieved at 'Pool. Still he has to start though, experienced and on his day unplayable.

Hope Johnson stay's fit though, by far best RB in country. Even as a City fan, he's twice the player Richards is.

First time I saw Johnson play for England I thought he was so out of his depth. On the week-end agaist Unt I thought he was OK

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Yeh I mean, by no means is he a 'World-Class' RB, but atm, England really aint got no1 else to put at RB, so for me it's Johnson every day of the week.

Only other candidates are Luke Young (Who can't into Villa squad), Richards (Who's off form), Brown (Who's A Clown) Or moving a CB over to play there.

GJ is brilliant at attacking, real athletic, like. His defensive frailties have been exposed quite often this season.

looks like your mates everton have done you a huge favour this morn

will you take advantage at all?

And Sunderland. Vital draw with Villa.
Permalink Permalink
about 16 years ago · edited about 5 years ago · History
villa are gone anyhow, i didnt see them as a contender before the sunderland match this morn

everton are storming home, they should overtake villa and perhaps even more of you...... they certainly have an easy run in

A fading villa represent their toughest remaining assignment. Realistically they could win their remaining 7 fixtures.

I actually think that we will come through to finish fourth. There are times when we play great footy and have played teams off the field. Hopefully this will happen more regularly

Villa must be the worst team at starting a season strong and then fading hard, although there is still time for a spurs implosion.

Permalink Permalink
about 16 years ago · edited about 5 years ago · History
Here's hoping for a Spurs implosion. Great, thanks Everton. And Blackburn...

Well, our run in isn't too bad, although I say that knowing full well how we're playing at the moment and really shouldn't be saying it.

looking at the remaining matches, you lot actually now have the easiest run in......

Spurs schedule looks difficult despite their decent form, and neither man city nor villa look like bagging a lot of points from here...

maybe just maybe?

riera's attitude was good to purge from the dressing room too

Hopefully, just hopefully! Yeah, exactly. Nice to get rid of someone who isn't going to fight!

I don't know why I put myself through believing we can do it!

Momo Sissoko's father and mother in law both died within an hour recently. First his father in law died of a heart attack, then the grieving mother in law passed away within an hour.

Was one of my favourite players a couple of years ago, and I have a shirt with "MOMO" on it. Feel awful for the guy. RIP and YNWA.

Get used to it. He made this brilliant comment about them signing Torres. He put it so well, I had to laugh out loud. Despite the obvious dig at our club's lack of Champion's League football. Hero.

Strips are ok I like the 1970's reference. Can't be the actual ones though, because the inside of the collar on the away strip says "Your Will Never Walk Alone" (Maybe a minor/major mistake by the kit makers)
