Perennial strugglers Liverpool fans complaining about the ref. No surprise.

Three for me, and two for them.

Sure, you are not to touch someone's face. But compared to all the things refs let go, or give a yellow to, how does Babel's palm pat to the face deserve a red?

Insua getting laced down that right hand side could cost especially in the air at the far post?

75 min Torres should have scored little dink over the keeper?

2-1 Benfica. LOL.

don't know what babel was thinking raising his hands like that, schoolboy error! I'm guessing that rafa will be happy with this scoreline with only 10men for such a long time. Don't know how on earth benfica kept 11 men on the pitch with so many fouls on torres all game!

Got an away goal.  That could be crucial.

Great to see Nuno Gomes get about half an hour.

Yet another 2 points dropped......once again. So what's Rafa guarantee about finishing fourth?

Torres gets subbed

Hilarious reactions ensue

Anyone else sense a couple of transfer requests coming in the summer?

KEEP RAFA AT POOL

"So Nando, do you think you will finish in 4th this season?"

Benitez decided to take off 20-goal leading scorer Fernando Torres midway through the second half, even though the player looked disappointed with the decision to replace him with David N'Gog.

Benitez said: "Was Torres injured? No, he was exhausted. He had some ice just to protect his knee, but he was really tired, like the other players who played on Thursday against Benfica.

"He knew we needed to win, but he was really tired, like all the players, and N'Gog had fresh legs, as did Ryan Babel, and that made a big difference in the last few minutes.''

Didn't look exhausted to me... didn't even look tired!

Gerrard's look; now he was the tired one. Tired of this KRAP he has to put up with Rafa at the moment...

Mmmmmmmm Rafa = Douche.

However the Mancs and Spurs have to face 2 of either Chelsea, Arsenal, Manyoo, use fellas so in theory there is 6 pts waiting for you guys to claim....I feel a miracle coming.

I still think we could finish fourth but couldnt believe Rafa took Torres off.Ngog is soo average but could have (should have ) scored 2-3 goals plus Maxi hit that screamer into Kuyt!  One paper had rumours of a Gerrard Rafa division!? Surely if that is true then Rafa is gooone Tyler2010-04-06 09:03:55

There is no way we'll finish 4th, not with that f*ck Benitez at the wheel anyway. 4 points behind Spurs and Citeh and they both have a game in hand over us.

Seriously though, f*ck Benitez. It's almost as if he threw that game, and his b.s excuses about Torres being tired are about as old as his excuses for everything else.

F*ck off already, f*cking f*ck...

Will he jump or will he have to be pushed? Word on the Street is that he will be owed millions of pounds if he gets the sack? Also some papers have the Rhone group investment no longer interested if we can't secure 4th place.

No one will be interested if we don't have the cash cow that is CL qualification.

Rafa signed a 5 year deal last year, and apparantly has a clause in that contract that will pay him out to the end of 2014 if he's pushed out. He's on around 4 mil a year, so it'd be about 16 mil.

From the way he managed the squad Sunday he's trying to get himself sacked.

That was a ridiculous red card against Babel. But at least we got the away goal. Nando should have scored. We can do them at Anfield. Haven't seen the Brum game yet, but I hear Ngog should have scored a few. Don't even want to post on here given some of the sh*t our own fans are posting about Rafa. f**king disrespectful.

im all for backing those at my club and what not but eventually one hes to think to themselves whether someone is the best man for the job, whatever that may be. how long will you continue to back rafa? what will he have to do for you to lose faith? finish in the bottom half of the table? get relegated?

Exactly. He's single handedly ruining your beloved club.

Look. If he got sacked then I wouldn't cry about it. Put it that way. But for f**ks sake. Show the man a bit of respect- which is all he has shown us at his time at the club. I'm not saying back him. But he brought us some f**king good times. RESPECT.

He brought you a lucky CL title in 05 and has lived off it ever since. He's done no better than Houllier who was hounded out by many fans too. Did you respect him?

I just want people to treat him better. I've heard our own fans call him a fat Spanish waiter. Not on.

??? Nino.. the reason we are angry is because we do support the club.

Not just support the club, love the club. We hate to see failure when there's so much potential for our boys but in the last 5 years we only have a CL and FA cup. As big as the CL is a manager and team can only live off the glory for so long before it's time to prove yourselves once again. Rafa's had his go, and I've supported him all the way but it's clear his management has wavered and with it so has the team. When your captain and No.1 go to man openly show confusion and in Gerrard's case clear aversion to the decision, you know they're on different pages. The name calling is just supporters venting their dislike, we're all in this together. One fact remains though and that is Rafa's time has come to end.

CL is one of the toughest competition in the world. That comment really just disrespects the competition more than anything.

Rafa needs to f**k off, this I know. He isn't a waiter who can stay at any club long term in my opinion due to his "my way or the highway" style of management. He came in, got results, now just f**ks everyone off. Sadly, I don't think the club can really afford to sack him (up to 16 million pounds is rumoured), hopefully he gets another job offer and leaves on his own accord.

For me personally my number one concern this summer is keeping Torres.

Bingo. He needs that Juve role (or anywhere) otherwise we spend our transfer budget on a thank you handshake out the door.
It'll be an interesting summer that's for sure. CL budgets? Europe? Rafa? If Rafa stays who will go? If Rafa goes who will replace him? Investor buy ins?

Yip. But I'm talking about how he has treated the fans.

But it comes down to little things. If Ngog had scored and we'd gone on to win 1-2, then he'd have won cos he would have also got Torres 25 minutes rest for the Benfica game.

Look. I'm not going to argue with you. I've just come back from holiday, and now I'm in a bad mood. But I just don't think that people need to carry on like that. Towards one of our own. Whether he warrants it or not.

Okay. Sorry. I know I'm just a whinging little git, and I don't know a lot of things. But I do know that I love this club and want what's best. And that may mean getting rid of Rafa. But sometimes it's difficult to see so much disrespect to a man who has given me some of the greatest moments in my life. I can remember that 2001 FA Cup Final, and the UEFA Cup and League Cup. I remember those things. But nothing was like Istanbul. I was a little 12 year old kid openly crying tears of joy with my family. I remember beating barcelona in the Nou Camp, and Inter in the San Siro. I remember getting told off at school for wearing my Libpool/Atleti scarf when we played Madrid. I remember my dad being too nervous to watch the penalties against Chelsea in 2007. I remember Benayoun against Fulham last season. I have so many good memories of our time under Rafa. And whether his time is up or not, I just wish that people would remember that this man got us considered as one of Europe's elite again. He brought us so many good times.

Just show him some respect so he can leave with dignity. Don't call him names like a f**king two-year old. He is a good man.
