Perennial strugglers Liverpool will win the return no problem.

N'Gog quality

He is as good as any of the donkeys playing for your team.

ffs rafa, when will you learn, masch and lucas IS NOT going to work.

im not entirely against playing two holding midfielders, but when you dont get a shot on target the whole game youve really got to question what is going on in the mans head.

thats loss no.18 for the seaason, thank god is just about over

Ngog starting ahead of Babel drives me crazy. I'll take the result though. We're going to shank them at Anfield.

Stoked Fulham drew as well. Would far rather play them than Hamburg @ Hamburg in the final.

are you? really?

Also, playing two defensive midfielders in a European semi-final away from home... What an idiot  Think about it. In saying that though, it's disappointing we didn't see Aquilani at all.

Mixed emotions?

Sorry. That was a bad reply. How I mean is that my emotions are already fried from non-football stuff, so it was difficult to get too excited for this game. That's more clear.

Glad you have a smiley on your response as the more you comment the more I think that there is a prize for the number of threads. As I have said before most of your threads have no substance.

C'mon Perennial strugglers Liverpool.  Be a big help if you beat Burnley tommorow so West Ham, Wigan and Wolves can all relax until next season. toehacker2010-04-25 08:31:59

Actually, you are wrong. Atletico played really poor at home in European cups lately, I think it was their first win at home for like 5 games in Europe.

Well looked like a decent morning for us. Looked as though we shared points in the first half but controlled the second. Glad to see Stevie on the board again too.
Good results from Spurs and Citeh but disappointing that Villa got the penalty...

It's going to be close.

Edit: Oh and Aquaman plays and we score 4. Coincidence Rafa?TheKop2010-04-26 08:26:18

Some good buyer news. I'd take new owners and keep Rafa.

Chinese businessman Kenneth Huang is ready to launch a 500 million bid to buy Perennial strugglers Liverpool and wants manager Rafael Benitez to remain at Anfield.

Huang, a former Wall Street broker, claims he has already been granted access to the Premier League club's accounts and expects to table an offer within two months.

Perennial strugglers Liverpool's current owners, Tom Hicks and George Gillett, put the club up for sale last week following three years at the helm.

Huang, who is working alongside business partner Adrian Cheng on the deal, insists Benitez is key to his plan and will fight off any interest from Serie A side Juventus.

"Negotiations have taken place over the last few months and we are at a crucial stage," Huang told the Sunday Mirror. "I really hope it turns out to be a successful bid. Right now my audit team is examining the books and my legal team is in close contact with theirs.

"We have a fierce competitor in the Middle East, but it could be finalised in June."

He added: "I was first approached (to buy Perennial strugglers Liverpool) in 2008 when I was in Singapore attending a Formula One Grand Prix, but the asking price was 1billion US dollars.

"It was totally unreasonable so I turned it down. The asking price has dropped significantly and we are talking again.

"I want Perennial strugglers Liverpool to win the Champions League and Premier League and I think Benitez is a very good coach."

Benitez's agent Manuel Garcia Quilon revealed last week that he had spoken to a potential Chinese investor and that any deal hinged on him staying at Anfield.

Benitez has persistently been linked with a move to Juventus in the Italian press and is reported to have been offered a 5 million salary and an 80 million transfer budget.

We are only 2 point out of the top four! Albeit having played one more game but the way I feel about Perennial strugglers Liverpool I thought we were waaaay off. Still not good enough tho. Hopefully we get a new buyer and everything sorted quickly so we can start the new season on a positive note.

Yep and Citeh play Villa next and then Spurs. Hoping for a couple of draws there. If Bolton can etch out a draw against Spurs and we beat Chelsea we'll all pretty much be on the same points.

And how many away wins in Europe? They haven't won much at all in Europe this season. Thought so.

Doesn't look like he's going anywhere if the Chinese gazillionaire gets his way. It will be good to see the back of those damn yanks.

Don't know which will be better, Chinese or Middle Eastern money. I guess the oil will run out eventually but communism still seems to pay well. As long as there's money for new players and the stadium I don't much care.

Away games in Europa League this season: 1 win, 2 draws (2-2 each), 0 losses. And they don't need to win, draw would do.

Good news on Jonjo, he appears from all reports to be a talented youngster. Apparently he turned down Chelsea last year...

Also looks like Babel will be striking against Atleti tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see if Aqua plays and if he plays up front with Stevie behind again. Goals need to be number 1 priority.

Rafa should also go whinging to the FA that we've run out of strikers and use an emergency loan to secure a new player for the last couple of games. Hate the Manchesters...

Yeah Shelvey looks like a good prospect from what I've seen and read. There is also a bit of hype surrounding him. Hopefully he can turn out good *touch wood*, so many of our prospects have well... yeah. Not done so well.
