You don't expect them at every game but you want to see them at significant moments (Hillborough memorials, season openers, stalwarts leaving). It may be 'just a business' but as with any business, relationships and schmoozing are a cornerstone of success.

Hate to sound horribly pessimistic, but I don't believe Milner + 1 striker is enough and I'm not super confident we'll get him either. City have apparently just offered him big cash to stay.
Might just be how the end of the season panned out..... some good news at some point would be nice though.
I think you will be surprised by one or two of your signings that just need a bit of time to bed in.
In fact the only two that I would probably write off so far are balotelli and lambert really.
I agree with that sentiment but would add Lovren to those two along with Borini. Lovren has been pure awful.
Sahko has been brilliant for us and when we lost him, that's when the wheel came off the end of the season.
If we lined up something like this next season, we'd do ok! Just put down positions where we need to buy...
RB could be Flanno, Moreno, Manquillo or Wisdom

Really hope Flanno & Sturridge can get over their numerous problems and play a big part next year. Flanno appears to be our only defensive minded fullback. Moreno looks good going forward but is all at sea (usually with no cover) when defending. I think playing 3 at the back worked for a bit but isn't a long term option with our players.
We need an established goal scorer (Tevez standard with that work rate too!) AND Sturridge to stay fit.
Looks like crunch time at LFC gents. Lots of reports coming from various agencies about BR being given his marching orders and stories of his inadequacies that many believe are being leaked by FSG to clear the ground for him to get the boot.
What ever happens, the club is obviously in turmoil behind the scenes and he either needs a rocket and an ultimatum that he WILL work under a DoF or I think he'll be gone by early June and we'll be singing YNWA to a new manager (with Sterling in tow) by the time they get to Brisbane.
I've been in the BR stable for a while, then I was on the paddock fence...now I think I want him gone and seems like fans are split 50/50.
Needless to say that he will not have met a single KPI this season and we have regressed and we could even be deemed to be in a worse position than when he took over.

BR needs to go, they have failed at EVERY major event this season.
There is not a SINGLE KPI that BR would have met for FSG. Across the Atlantic, the Red Sox were winning 6-1 while Stoke were handing us our worst ever PL result.
We need to go into next season with either a new manager or some huge signings and the thing is that the players we currently have, should be challenging. Players are to blame for sure but BR just put out a team with NO striker. NOOOOO STRIKER....Hello, McFly!!!

Not really relevant but just want to mention... Redsox may have been winning this morning but they've been going just as bad, if not worse, than Liverpool comparatively.
Last season when you guys were challenging they were busy coming dead last in their division. They've started this season at less than .500, they are 21-23 so far, not good enough for their standards.

The difference is that since FSG purchased them in 2002 they have 3 titles, 3 AL pennants, 2 division titles and 5 wild card berths.
Since FSG purchased LFC in 2010, we have a league cup and 1 x CL qualification.
I hope FSG stay on, persevere, but they need some significant education on how football differs from baseball.

Yes there is a huge difference between sports.
For example, all a wildcard berth is is entry into the play-offs. The play-offs comprise 31% of the teams in the league, so equivalence for the premier league would be finishing in the top 6. Essentially Liverpool have achieved 3 'wildcard berths' in 5 years of ownership.
If you only take the first 5 redsox seasons under FSG ownership to make the comparison fairer, then you get;
- 1 title
- 1 pennant (same season as the title)
- 3 wildcard berths
Really brings it back down to earth somewhat. Once you get 13 years of ownership the comparison might be a bit more relevant I think.

Dear God,......I'm glad that season is over. So painful. I just hope that if FSG are going to boot Rodgers, that they do it quickly. If they don't boot him......I don't want to think about it.

Jr went to school in tears. I was just speechless and for the first time ever , was ashamed to support LFC. No balls, no guts and no backbone on display this morning. Utterly despicable for a team of supposedly professional football players.
I counted 7 centre midfielders out there this morning. No right back , no striker....( Can may be a good player potentially but he is not a RB).
Rodgers must go. If he had any balls, he'd quit. He's lost the dressing room and clearly has been found wanting. Too much crap comes out his gob with no planning behind it.
FSG need to show some nuts here and review the entire system. Starting with getting rid of the transfer committee, then sack Rodgers. Who then? I see the poms have Klopp as odds on favourite ; I'm not as keen but something has to change. Otherwise results like this will be more frequent next year.

Been a voice of support for Rodgers but he simply refuses to learn from his mistakes.

The Klopp talk is laughable. If Klopp had the season he did at Dortmund at Liverpool would he have survived past Christmas?? Extremely doubt it.
Every manager experiences down periods but he's also won 2 Championships, 1 domestic cup and 2 Supercups. Klopp dragged them out of the mire and but for a poor season this year (they did beat Bayern twice) he has left the club in a much better position than when he took over.
