All on tomorrow morning! Equal parts nervous and excited!
Liverpool Thread - Premier League Champions* 2019/20 (Part 2)
Yep off to 4 kings nice and early. Have missed due to work a couple of times recently so definitely a starter tomorrow.
Nah I wouldn't read too much into it yet. We're likely to get offers but think it'd have to be large for him to go and I don't think anyone will go for it.
Fingers crossed anyway!

Watched bits of the game. Toure looked like a different player than when I last saw him.
And the quick passing in tight areas by your midfielders has improved out of sight, really impressed with a lot of the touches I've seen lately.
Refreshing style of football to watch.

Seems like you are slowly seeing the light Paul and moving away from the dark side.
Though unlikely it's possible Liverpool and West Ham could finish level on points, goal difference and goals scored in which case a playoff between them would be needed to decide who qualifies for the Europa. Needs Liverpool to lose the Europa final (so not qualify for the CL) and a certain set of results in the last round of PL matches.
Yep, surprised. Liverpool in European finals is usually a safe bet. Sevilla have won the Europa 3 years running now and 5 times since 2006. Weird they can't quite break into the next tier.
They'll be in Pot 2 for the Champions League next season, so that should significantly increase their chances of getting out of group stages - and if they do, they've shown they're quite handy in knock out matches.
By the way, this means that the of the last 6 available European titles (Champions League and Europa League), all 6 are going to go to Spanish clubs. That's quite staggering.

Do Europa league winners automatically get in pot 2 or is based, as other qualifiers, on Sevilla's uefa coefficient (which is pretty good after the past 3 seasons)?
During that spell of La Liga teams winning, quite a few have been in finals against other La Liga opposition. Since 2000, 9 UCL wins 4 runner ups; 8 Europa League wins 3 runner ups. Probably the best period of domination since Serie A from the late 80s to late 90s.

It's based on coefficients. Europa League winners aren't even assured of being placed directly in the group stages under the competition regulations (although at the minimum they enter at the play-off stage), but since whoever wins this year's Champions League will have already qualified through their domestic league, the Europa League winner gets through directly to the group stage.
Sevilla now have a very good coefficient (in the 90s from memory) and are guaranteed Pot 2.
- Karius done now as we all know, he should be the #1 - voted second best keeper in the Bundesliga - but he is only 22, a baby in goalkeeping terms.
- Sinclair has gone to Watford - kid had a bad attitude so good riddance and we're potentially due a decent sum for development costs.
- Liverpool are happy to let Jordan Ibe move on and are open to offers. WBA, Southampton are interested.
- Gotze is going to drag on and on and then he'll end up staying at Bayern.
- 14m bid in place for Leicester LB Ben Chilwell.

Afternoon all,
one of our own is going through a tough time. His daughter, at just 5 years old, has been diagnosed with Stage 5 cancer and the family need support so that they can stay with her and support her while she is getting treatment in Christchurch.
With support from LFC Wellington, I've been able to organise a comedy night with 5 great comics with all profits going to the family - each one of the comedians has donated their time and the venue is only asking us to cover a very small portion of their costs.
Limited to 95 tickets so please, support a fellow LFC and football faithful and get along.

Yeah that's fair, it would just be a bit disappointing to get rid of him so quickly I reckon.
I worried after the Europa final that Coutinho might wanna go. Hope not!
