COYBs

Wouldn't count on it.  We'll batter them and completley dominate. Only for them to score of kuyt's ear in the final minute.

Some excellent news here:
RBS obtains injunction against Hicks and Gillett

That proves Hicks was wrong to try and remove Purslow and Ayre. First tick. So now we just need to prove to the courts that NESV's bid is reasonable.

Asian buyer attempting to now outbid NESV.
Asian bidder revealed.

Like the article says, it won't happen. NESV have already signed for the club. The court just needs to approve it.
The guy sounds shady anyway. Another Hicks/Kirdi smoke and mirrors bid I bet to create doubt.

More positive progress huh? Court is Tuesday England time? I know that Hicks misses out on 144 million pounds if/ when we sell but you would think that he would just bite the bullet and leave. It seems like he is wasting more moeny trying to fight the sale. Oh well it's in the hands of the courts now

I'd love to see LFC bought out by the Singaporean Man Utd fan!

You may need that next week too

Yikes, it's escalating...

We have been informed that Tom Hicks has now counter-sued Martin Broughton, Christian Purslow, Ian Ayre and RBS with the claim that they had not acted appropriately in terms of accepting the bid from NESV.

It's going to take a while to recover from the whole debacle though huh?

It probably is clutching at straws but it's the thing that has the potential to drag this process out from days/weeks to months...

It's Hick's final FU.

LFCtrial: court finds in favour of RBS/#LFC/NESV. Expect Hicks appeal and counter-claims.

Normal services *footballing matters* will resume shortly.

REFUSED the right to appeal.

Board are meeting right now with the lawyers to see if they can complete the deal with NESV legally tonight (this morning our time)

Could barely sleep last night and when I did it was sunshine and happiness with H&G on their way out.

EDIT: John Henry's just turned up for the meeting. Cross fingers and toes people. TheKop2010-10-14 08:21:33

DAMMIT!!

Following the successful conclusion of High Court proceedings today, the Boards of Directors of Kop Football and Kop Holdings met tonight and resolved to complete the sale of Liverpool FC to New England Sports Ventures.

Regretably, Thomas Hicks and George Gillett have tonight obtained a Temporary Restraining Order from a Texas District Court against the independent directors, Royal Bank of Scotland PLC and NESV to prevent the transaction being completed.

The independent directors consider the restraining order to be unwarranted and damaging and will move as swiftly as possible to seek to have it removed.

A further statement will be made in due course.
